There was a recent hour change so my spouse and I waited an extra 30 minutes but once doors opened the service was prompt. They're strict on the two ID policy that's not a CAC, which will make this process a lot smoother. Friendly staff while you're getting your CAC as well.

Literally here right now and you always have to experience something for yourself to see how it really is. Walked in with no appointment and we were out in less than 30 minutes. Gentleman at front desk was very friendly and helpful. And the gentleman at the window worked very expeditiously and professional.

Came in to get a new cac due to recent promotion. I work in 62 so this was a 45 min drive for me. It’s hard enough to find time to go and it’s at a very inconvenient location to about half the marines on Camp Pendleton. There phone number that doesn’t work. So I wasn’t able to call in advance to ask questions. Ask a fellow Sgt what was needed and was told just a promotion warrant with your cac. I brought my driver license, cac, and promotion warrant, believing this would be enough proof to get a new cac saying Sgt. Walked in and was ask “what do you want”rudely and was told I needed another form of ID of passport/ social security/ birth certificate. I’m more frustrated with the dealing with government employees that don’t seem to care about helping marines or doing there skate job.

Much better experience compared to previous years. We just went there today, as a walk in to get my daughter an ID card, and we were out of there in ten minutes. We had an appointment for the previous day, but the system went down. We were instructed to return the next day and no appointment needed. The hours of operation are longer now, 0600-1700, and they had all of the stations up and running. Very quick check in and we were called back before we had a chance to sit down in the waiting room. I’m glad things are working smoother there now. Used to be a headache.

I prefer going to the DMV than coming here. No one ever answers the phone when I attempt to call to confirm or ask a question. And when I arrive, they tell you to come another day or call to make an appointment. Great advice, call to make an appointment, but we just won’t EVER answer the phone.

I've been here 4 times in the last month for misc ID/family ID issue/reissue and the experience was completely different from how it was two years ago. They are open from 6am-5pm now and the wait times are significantly improved. Twice no wait really and once about a 20 minute wait. Glad they improved the manning/efficiency and extended the hours.

I recently experience the absolute worst customer service EVER, during a recent trip to obtain a new Dependent ID card. That man, with dark hair and glasses, is completely undeserving of employment, ANYWHERE.

UPDATE: Upon calling the Pass & ID Office to obtain the building number for this ICE review. I received a call from the Office Manager (Thanks D) who was very proactive and helpful. I feel very assured that she will be able to address and help fix the issue.
