Title: Disappointing Experience with Brown & Brown Tax Services

We have been using Brown & Brown Tax Services for several years, even before COVID-19. Initially, they were responsive and prepared our taxes on time. However, our recent experience has been disappointing.

Currently, it is difficult to get clear answers or timely updates from them. We have had to reach out multiple times for simple updates, which has been frustrating. After a mistake in our return, we decided not to use their services last year. Despite this, we decided to give them another chance, which unfortunately turned out to be a big mistake. Overall, we are dissatisfied with their declining service quality and lack of communication.

There have been numerous excuses from this tax company. We provided all our documents well in advance for each tax season. Basic customer service involves setting realistic expectations and communicating effectively. If you are unable to prepare someone's taxes, just let them know. I would have gone with another company, simple. Further, after a month and a half of trying to reach you, it is unacceptable to inform us just two weeks before the tax deadline that you cannot complete our documents.

Brown & Brown CPA's has done my taxes for more than 5 years, and the service has always been excellent. They are always accurate, efficient, and very thorough. The checklist they go through with the client at the beginning of the process is very helpful to me because it helps me remember things I may have otherwise missed. They serve as a liaison with the IRS to answer any questions that might occur. When the tax returns are completed, I appreciate the preview copy of the tax returns prior to meeting in person to sign the returns. It is also very helpful that many of the items can be sent back and forth electronically. Brown & Brown has also done tax returns for my parents for a number of years with the same excellent result.
