We booked in Ketchikan because we heard this is the best spot for Alaska fishing. We were hoping catch some halibut and we did! One 20-25 lbs, one 15-20 lbs and one 10 lbs.

Kyle, our captain, was lots of fun and knowledgeable. He took us right to some great spots and we were catching fish within 30 minutes of putting down lines. Caught some nice rock fish too!

Wow! We had such a fantastic experience fishing and feasting on this excursion! The weather was very wet and cloudy and we were fully outfitted to stay as dry as we could! Captain Lindsey was fantastic as she used her knowledge and love of it all to help everyone have a great time! Everyone caught multiple fish and really enjoyed what was cooked up for us on the shoreline. It was absolutely delicious and one of our favorite parts of our visit to Alaska!

AWESOME! Capt. Andrew had us on the bite all morning. Over 20 solid cod (with a couple donkeys) and 4 keeper halibut (limit) boated. We had a ridiculously nice day (65 and full sunshine) in just an epically scenic spot to fish. Tight lines for sure.

Could not be more pleased with our experience! Salmon, Rockfish, and Halibut. ALL the Halibut! You’re can only keep one per person but we could have kept five per person if we were allowed. Several had to go back due to only being able to keep under 36”. Captain was knowledgeable and very good. He was as much a tour guide as a fishing guide. Highly recommend.

We booked this charter independent of our cruise line for such a better price. We have a family member in a wheelchair who has had a life-long dream to halibut fish in Alaska. Baranof made his dream - and all of our dreams - come true! The weather was perfect. The guide was fantastic! All of the crew and employees were extremely helpful. And, we limited out on halibut, caught salmon, cod, rockfish. It was the best day ever! And, they processed and shipped our fish home. We cannot thank you enough for one of our moat memorable days in Alaska!

From day one, “Baranof Fishing Excursions” has been there above and beyond in every aspect. There was not one bump in the road (or water) with our service. Captain Ryan's staff did an amazing job. The entire company was well stocked with everything needed. This team was more than we ever expected it to be, They answered every question we had. Even the stupid ones. They are an honest and outstanding company. “Captian Ryan” was there for us in every facet of our fishing needs. LISTEN UP! We had an incredible time! I'm not a fisherman! In fact, this was my very FIRST time fishing on a boat. Our Captain was Landon and he was absolutely the BEST! He knew the answer to every question any of us asked. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND ASKING FOR HIM!! He was amazing! We not only enjoyed catching but then Landon brought us to a camp site to meet the others where we were greeted with coffee and hot chocolate. They cleaned and then cooked our catch!! It was absolutely delicious! Even had dessert! We also got to explore the site. There was a little beach area through the downed trees. The views on and off the boat were absolutely stunning. Pictures don't do it justice!! I would do this again in a heartbeat!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
I mean it, believe the 5 star reviews. Would give more if I could. Was definitely our favorite excursion on our Alaska trip.
Captain Steven and his crew (aka - his pups) were amazing. We loved having the extra crew members aboard; VERY well behaved and wonderful addition.

The fishing was great! Caught lots of rock fish and even 4 salmon! The post-fishing meal to eat the fish we caught was a full meal that was delicious and so fresh. The campsite was a fun location for the meal food. HIGHLY recommend this fishing experience and company.
