I came to BWFA with important goals for my family and I. In short I was rejected because I didn’t say things how they need to hear it. They made a ton of assumptions about my situation in explaining how they’re are or are not a fit for me. I may not understand everything perfectly but you certainly didn’t need to nit pick details of my understanding of your fees. You are the expert here, that’s why I’m calling you for help. Is that not enough? You need to tell me how I didn’t even realize what I said was wrong and turn it into some big thing I said fee based instead of fee only. Really? My advice to YOU is to respect all your customers. Right or wrong, I’m still a customer. Correct me but be contentious how you do it. They explained how the majority of their clients invest a million but then their feathers got ruffled when I asked what their rate of return is. Their response was they don’t have a crystal ball. If you ask for a million, don’t be surprised by this question. This place lists how they’re certified in helping seniors and families, I didn’t get a family unifying experience at all. I felt embarrassed I pulled my father into a call with them.

Baltimore-Washington Financial Advisors (BWFA) vastly exceeded my family's expectations. We have worked with BWFA for about 5 years. We needed a firm that took its fiduciary responsibility seriously. We needed multi-generational financial guidance; a firm that was conveniently located and that was large enough and stable enough to be around for our kids. BWFA did all these. BWFA fees are reasonable, and even after fees, BWFA investment advice has produced about 2% per year better results than I would have done. BWFA meets with and works well with my family and with our attorney. BWFA creates a "family" atmosphere among clients and staff with numerous opportunities to interact. I happily recommend BWFA to friends.

We've been clients of BWFA since 2019. My daughter and both of my brothers became clients after seeing how well BWFA did for us. To be brief, here are a few of the things we like about BWFA.
- obviously - great returns on our money
-one stop shopping. At least 3 times a year (but as often as we want) we meet with our team - tax planner, investment planner, financial planner, and Rob Carpenter, the president of BWFA.
-they helped us with big financial decisions. For example, this summer I sold my condo and I met with our team to determine the tax implications. They told us exactly how much tax we would have to pay and when to avoid penalties.
-they respond very quickly to phone calls and emails
-I like the idea that a whole team is making investment decisions, not just one person.
-we didn't join BWFA looking for new friends, but we have met so many people at various events they host.
