Assets has provided professional care, detailed reviews, and have been extremely supportive to a family member. The life care givers go the patients home and provide transportation to activities and supplies. They devise a list of areas that need improvement such as social skills or tracking medication. The goal is to provide guidelines and support to advance individuals toward being independent. It is truly a unique system in Anchorage.

Ok my son has been a contractor with Assets for 2 years and he is still dishwasher 1. The other thing that is puzzling is the fact they have to have an incident report every time my son gets sick on the job. Human resources called and wondered if their was anything they could do to help him? My answer to her was no . I don't know how they think they can help him. He has pericarditis . He works while having pericarditis .I don't trust them

What a joke...You are not here to help people with Autism in general. Your funding should be cut. I have tried everything to get help because I struggle getting proper medical care even though I am verbal.
Here I am riddled with infection, exposed bone in my mouth, writhing in pain. I am receiving no pain relief and luckily I finally got a doctor to give me a 2nd round of antibiotics after two weeks of ER visits and seeing 6 different doctors.
Everyone thinks I'm mentally ill and I am I do tired of it.
Society has grown so heartless and cold.

I went to Assets when I was 18- 22 and 24-25. The majority of staff working there are very unprofessional. I question the judgement of the people who hire most employees. I have autism so I stim. I got kicked out of the staffs truck because I started rocking when the staff was yelling at me for pointing out a parking spot, yelling not to tell her how to drive. One staff constantly made fun of me for being fat and compared me to an elephant and a manatee. When I told my case manager I didn't want to work with him anymore she just said I need to work on my social skills. I explained my social skills were appropriate and his teasing was inappropriate, she just said I was getting mad way too fast. I explained this was going on for a month and a month of being made fun of and being denyed Justice is not getting mad fast. My case manager there said she would be at my house on a Wednesday and when I called because she didn't show up she didn't remember and I explained what we planned on and she just yelled that I was putting words into her mouth and hung up. I told a staff she wasn't supposed to sit in the middle of the intersection at a red light and that she was supposed to turn, but she wanted to make the people behind us mad because they were rushing her so she just sat there, but instead of turning when she was supposed to she just sat in the middle of the intersection, the light turned red, she still didn't move. Cars had to go out of their way not to hit us. I told her it was dangerous. She started screaming and yelling asking me if I know how to drive, I said you don't have to know how to drive to know your not sapposup to be sitting in the middle of the intersection. She screamed at me until we got to my house and screamed at me till I got halfway across the parking lot. She then started a rumour saying that I don't like black people. I don't have anything against black people. But since that romour, which I don't know why she would think so, it spread in the office and people believed it. One day one of the case managers asked me about it and I had no clue that was going around. She was so surprised that I wasn't. And all of these staff were different people. That place is filled with immaturity. There was one good person I worked with there. She was an awesome therapist. But she left the company. They didn't even tell me she was leaving until she was gone. And my first session with my new therapist, they were already talking about switching to a new one. I was told by my therapists that I had so much insight and that I have come a long way. I recently quit going to Assets and it was one of the best choices I made. I am doing very well in my own apartment living independently and away from their nonsense. When they say they will make a difference in your life, don't expect it to be good.

The reason I dont like it is because my money like 15 or 17 dollars gotten stolen and my friends rice gotten this stealing epidemic has to stop or put the security cam in break or banned that particular person not going in there his name is Billy and half the members knows the fact that he stoled it PLEASE DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT DANG

Love assets they help people no matter what and they are good for jobs for disabled people love the fact they help out and with familys and personal attention.
