Our experience with Arkansas Accounting and Jason started of SOOOO WELL. Jason was attentive, replying to emails, and so very helpful. We were connected with him as a Ramsey Tax Pro and grateful to have a smooth handoff to someone to do our taxes because this was a transitional year for us and we needed the help.
The issues came the closer we got to our appointment and Tax Day, we had meetings scheduled with Jason that were missed, and when we finally got all of our documents together and went into for our appointment he had no idea why we were there. After getting the new client documents filled out, that we were not sent, and being told we would be pushed to the front of the line and our taxes would be complete the next day, the next few days became infuriating.
Not only were our taxes not completed the next day, but that was the last email communication we received. The following week, we were passed off to another CPA with no notice, and she was not given any of our information. I spent the next few days getting her up to speed, and then once again as I went to ask her questions I received no reply and just a phone call to come and sign for my taxes because they were ready. That was a frustrating meeting that I don't want to get into, but the bottom line is I had to set an appointment for after tax day to get a full explanation for my taxes and close this door.
Jason was kind enough to explain everything thoroughly in the end, and we are grateful for that, but the communication for this team MUST get better 🙁

Beware!!! The original owner was amazing and was professional and was available for his customers. Most of the original people who worked there are gone and for good reasons. The original owner sold it to the current owner and the service has went down hill. They did our return and made a huge mistake on it by $1600.00. The owner lied to us and never followed up with us to let us know why did his office make a mistake on our returns! He never got back with us. We signed a new amended return and it's been over 20 weeks and the IRS has they haven't received it from them! They had the nerve to call us today 10/23/23 to have us come and sign another. I don't think so and we have the copy of the amended one we had already signed. One of his tax prepares who we had been using every year with the original owner quit. She was assume and always was available to answer questions. We will be filing a complaint with the Arkansas Attorney General's Office. This is unacceptable and do business with them at your own risk! You better recheck every return you have filed with them since the current owner has taking over. They are incompetent and shouldn't be in business. We never had any issues and was completely satisfied with the original owner and how he took care of business.

I sent an email in August updating address and sending estate paperwork. They still sent the tax documents to the wrong address and later called saying they needed estate documents.
It took multiple voicemails and emails for Jason to answer my first question.
When I went in to sign paperwork the secretary said they werent ready. Had to make her call Jason to explain where they could be found. I had a question while still there and all the sudden Jason didnt answer the phone. I left a message, another the following Monday, sent an email on Wednesday….it is now Saturday and he has still not responded. He got his check (my mistake) and apparently doesnt care at this point.
Very frustrating experience, will NOT recommend due to lack of communication and lack of updating important information as requested.

We have used AR Accounting for years and NEVER had an issue. Out of the three accounting firms my boss' various companies use, they are the least expensive and they still have that small business feel, despite their substantial client list. Rebecca and Debbie are my personal favorites up there, but they're all exceptional.
