Awful experience. Applied for a loan and was approved after providing all supporting documentation and credit. Drivers license. paystubs, buyers orders and so on, all of which clearly showed where I live and work. I was emailing with a rep from loan closing who also saw all of the supporting documentation. I was told to set an appointment with a branch to finalize paperwork the next day. After a 2 hour drive I arrive to find out that I qualified for the loan BUT NOT for membership because I did not live work or worship in Cecil or Baltimore or Hartford County. WHY make me go through 4 days of supplying loan documentation and running credit and 4 hours of round trip driving? The link on the site CLEARLY STATES.... "NOT A MEMBER? APPLY NOW AND WE'LL CREATE YOUR MEMBERSHIP DURING THIS APPLICATION", I completed the application. Got approved.... but obviously the membership was NOT created during the application. Total joke. Waste of time and a run around. Maybe create a system that actually starts with qualifying based off membership rules rather than personal information, credit and income.

Would give zero stars if possible. Ridiculously slow. I mean at least 15 minutes at the drive through per person!
They refused to give me a secured $5k loan! (Secured with my own $5k.)
Now they keep asking me if I know they do loans. Really?
I’ve been a member for 40 years but soon leaving.
Harford Bank is the best!
(And they actually remember my name!)
