I met Amanda about 4 years ago on my way to the elevator from a doctor's appointment at the hospital. I stopped at her information table in the hallway. Within minutes, after listening to her explain Medicare programs simply, I knew that she would be the one to take care of everything when I retired. I called Amanda before retiring in Nov., 2023, after making the decision to retire in October, 2023. There wasn't must time with Medicare deadlines approaching. Within days, she had it all taken care of for me. I got the plan I wanted and she even helped me with Part B. She is not the typical 9-5er and will do what it takes to get the job done. She was still checking on details with me at 8 p.m. on the phone one night because we were under the Medicare deadline. She called me once on a Saturday morning to check on something. It was really helpful that she drove to my home for our initial meeting since I didn't want to be in freeway traffic. I told her earlier that I didn't want to discuss a million Medicare plans and to just please select one or two to discuss that would benefit me. She did. I also appreciated the fact that she never "bugged" me since we first met, although I had given her my contact info. She sent me interesting newsletters (with a fun crossword puzzle) through the years and never once asked me when I was retiring. I am so glad I listened to my gut feeling and chose Amanda Shelley out of all the thousands of Medicare people out there, who I never even spoke to. No need to. I knew Amanda would take care of it, without even meeting with her. She definitely does have a solution for everything Medicare. I have already recommended her to two coworkers who may be retiring soon. Thank you, Amanda, for being such a pleasant, caring, knowledgeable, honest and professional person. There were so many stressful details for me in the retirement process but you made the Medicare "stuff" easy-peasy. I see there is no limit to how much I write here, so I better just stop on my own.
