First off Chris is GREAT, but whoever is in charge of scheduling/billing is incompetent. I was scheduled for recurring appointments and would randomly get told I wasn't on the schedule. NUMEROUS TIMES. Listen... mental health = health. Now both my daughter and I are out a therapist that we enjoyed because of poor admin. Worst part is the therapist won't ever know about it because I'm sure the schedulers/receptionists know they suck. They randomly billed us without explanation and refused to fulfill follow up requests.

I've been going here for about five months and was relatively happy with the therapy sessions, but the customer service is very disappointing. Here is my story; I missed an appointment about a month ago, cancelled two days ahead of time. Honestly that week I just didn't have any extra money for the copay. I had never cancelled before but couldn't avoid it. The next session I also had to cancel because I had made conflicting appointment months before with my hair stylist and it was two weeks before my daughter's wedding. I didn't want to have to reschedule with the salon because it's hard to get in and I was running out of time. I called the office and explained the situation and the receptionist was very nice about it. When I told her about the wedding, she said "well what about the next appointment, will you be able to make it to that one, or should I go ahead and cancel it to?" I told her after thinking about it for a minute that maybe it was a good idea to go ahead and cancel, because it was two days before the wedding rehearsal dinner and I didn't know what all my daughter would need help with. THIS is when I should have been told that I was in danger of being cancelled.
BUT She acted like it was no big deal and put me down for the week after the wedding. Great. I told her I would definitely want to come in and speak to the therapist after the wedding, I was sure I'd need to see someone after all that stress. The week of the wedding I did not receive a text reminder so of course I didn't think I needed to call and cancel again. I thought everything was fine. After the wedding I got my normal Monday reminder for my Wednesday appointment, which I confirmed. I was particularly anxious to see my therapist that week... a few days before then I had to euthanize my dog and was having chest pains which I assumed was from anxiety. On Tuesday (one day before my appointment) I got a call saying that they had cancelled my Wednesday appointment as well as all future appointments because I had missed too many without proper notice. I was shocked. I explained to her that I had never cancelled without proper notice and that the only reason I missed the third appointment was because they OFFERED to cancel it because of the wedding. I was told "it's just our policy when you've missed too many appointments" I told them that was ridiculous because I had already confirmed for the next day, and was looking forward to my session. I was told I'd have to speak with the therapist to find a new day and time that worked for both of us. This was disappointing because I had a standing appointment every other week and I had worked out a schedule with my employer to accommodate my sessions. After that phone call I was very upset. It totally took me by surprise, and made me feel completely rejected, like I had done something wrong, even though I didn't. All I could think was "what if I REALLY needed to speak to someone, and the day before my appointment was made to feel this way" Then I got a letter today that looks like it was filled out by a fifth grader that stated I was cancelled because I had not given proper notice. Which is (again) totally untrue. It doesn't really matter now I guess, but I felt the need to set the record straight somehow. I will not be going back. Honestly, I already had all the skills within me to get through my hard times, it was just nice to have an objective person to talk to about my issues.

I have been going to this office since 2015 and this office is amazing! Maybe I love it so much because the therapist I see is AMAZING! If you guys need to find a great therapists office you can depend on, look no further!! I HIGHLY recommend Melanie Cloud!! When I say it takes the right therapist for healing, I mean it! I could not tell you guys how amazing Melanie Cloud is!! I have been working with her for 6 years and I couldn’t be more thankful for the way she approaches therapy! She is so gentle and nurturing and honestly has helped me save my life and to see the light at the end of the tunnel! I always recommend everyone to her!! Even if she has a waitlist, get on it!! You won’t regret it!! More therapist need to embrace her style 🙂

My review is based entirely on customer service. I called on a Wednesday to make an appointment as a new patient and my information was taken. I was told I’d be called back in 5 min. I called back 2 hrs later to check in and the receptionist apologized and said she was still waiting to hear back from a therapist. She said she’d get back with me ASAP. I called again the following Tuesday, 6 days later. I got a different receptionist. She was super apologetic and I decided I’d give them the benefit of the doubt. Apparently they’d lost my info. She apologized many times and promised she’d call me back before the end of the day. I have now made an appointment with another office because I never received a return call. I felt unimportant and ignored. There may be wonderful therapists here, but I’ll never know.

I feel extremely blessed to have found ACF counseling. To sum it up without saying too much at all,I have a BALL of issues I've been working through and thanks to My therapist and the staff there , I'm FINALLY getting the help I need and more! Tammy is an Excellent recommendation if your going to get set up here from my personal experience. Shes super professional, understanding, realistic and most importantly: HELPS! She isn't your average therapist, she lives in the real world like the rest of us and GENUINELY does/wants to help. And the ladies in the front office, are just incredible themselves. They will/do work with your schedule and needs. I appreciate ALL they offer and more. This isn't my first rodeo ladies and gents, so If you are needing help in life ,PLEASE give this place a try. Lord knows I've searched HIGH AND LOW to find GOOD mental services in the Midwest let alone Kansas, and to save people like myself, I'm writing this review to help you where I was once lost. Good luck to everyone, this life is hard, but keep trying.

Everything about this place is wonderful except the Christian music & scented vapor that one of the receptionists insists on filling the waiting room. Kelcie is a wonderful therapist and both of my kids love her. She seems to have really helped them.

Be careful when canceling appointments with this office, they will still charge you, even if you gave plenty of notice. I had a really great therapist, which is so hard to find, then lost them because I couldn't afford the fees they should never have charged me.
