Extremely Limited banking services. No Zelle participation, in the least you can register your abbey debit card directly through Zelle, but then Zelle imposes a $500 weekly max. Much higher limits if the bank or union can link through Zelle using account numbers. The only way you can transfer money is to yourself, between abbey accounts, or to another members account. They do participate in BillPay, and there is an option to use BillPay to send money to another person, but it doesn't ask for that persons account info, so I'm guessing abbey sends that person a check, maybe? Abbey claims there's a free mobile deposit, we've looked Everywhere in the app, no sign of this, false advertising, will update if and when we find out otherwise. On random occasions your debit card will get denied while you're out shopping, for no legitimate reason, no mater how much is in your account, that creates some interesting twists to your day. Just happened again in May, 2023, at All retailers. So if you enjoy gambling, get an account here and use your linked card to pay for, or try to pay for, things like groceries. Nothing more fun than being in line at Meijer, cart full of groceries. and not being able to authorize a transaction. No lack of funds, no security lock on the account, just flat out Denied, at all terminals, at all retailers 🙂 This place does have potential. If you're cool with 1980's-1990's style banking, abbey is up to the task. This being 2023, I can't even say this is basic banking, and if they're this far behind anything remotely close to modern banking and the experience other credit unions provide, I have a hard time trusting a place like this. If you don't have the need or desire to have modern banking, easy transfers to other sources that aren't also members, third party systems like Zelle, taking a simple pic of a check and having it deposited, customer service beyond normal banking hours, then abbey would work just fine. The staff has Always been super friendly, willing to figure things out and eventually do. You do have the benefit of Always dealing with someone locally. No matter what your issue, it's always going to be handled between people at just a few locations. After realizing I had only listed what I consider cons, I've tried to be honest and list the pros I could think of, with the hope of letting you know what to expect when having accounts here. In a nutshell I would suggest, for most people, don't let this be your only source, especially if you're traveling, be sure to have other payment options readily available.

Worst experience ever; if I could give - zero stars, I would. Being long-time members, we automatically chose to finance our new car through Abbey in early May; the whole process of applying for and being approved for the auto loan took less than 2 hours. We contacted our insurance company to provide proof of insurance on the new vehicle before going to the loan office to sign the loan paperwork. A month later, after receiving a rather threatening letter from Abbey demanding proof of insurance, and advising us of the consequences, we contacted the insurance company a second time regarding proof. They assured us that it had been forwarded to Abbey on the day we signed for the loan, but would resend it . A month later, we received another more forceful letter from Abbey, implying that we had yet to fulfill our responsibility, and provide Abbey with proof of insurance. I am not sure who was failing there, but we did what we needed to do two months earlier, and again a month later, to provide Abbey with proof of insurance. After the last letter, I personally forwarded all the documents from our insurance company to Abbey. Three weeks later, we received another letter from Abbey advising us that they had followed through with their previous threats, and actually purchased auto insurance on our behalf, and will add the cost to our loan. This has been going on now for three months, and cost me considerable time and energy to resolve someone else's incompetence. Now it's more than my time and energy, it's going to cost a considerable sum of money. This is beyond ridiculous!

ATM is always broken they have meetings in the morning during business hours. Showed up before work really need to cash my check and they were having a meeting. Do that before business hours or after hours I will be switching banks. They have nice people in there beside the teller Ashley. She always has a attitude. My family left this back now I am.
