I used Akore for my taxes in the past and had an incredible experience, which made the contrast to my experience this year particularly stark.

It started when I paid to overnight my tax documents and akore did not notify me that she had received them. I checked in a few days later, and she told me they were received.

Then, rather than asking me the necessary questions to identify my write-offs and witholdings, as she did all prior years, Akore simply did my taxes without factoring in any of it. When I inquired as to why she hadn’t asked me any of the necessary questions this year, Akore was abrupt and rude in her reply.

She said that she assumed if there were any writeoffs I would have sent them. Which is wild, because every prior year she asked me the necessary questions to process my taxes effectively. I’m definitely not paying over $500 for an accountant that does the bare minimum, is disrespectful, and doesn’t communicate. A huge waste of time, money, and effort. Would not recommend.

I have dreaded doing my taxes for years and have been lost anytime a tax situation presents itself in the past. As my real estate and investment portfolio have grown I knew I needed to stop guessing at things myself. Over the last couple years I have tried to start a relationship with a CPA and been so disappointed with the results. I would finish filing with them knowing I'd be looking someone new for the next return. Akore was referred to me to deal with a very messy 2017 return with a 10 property 1031 exchange, a dozen rental incomes, bad debt write-off, etc. To add to it I gave it to her just a few weeks before the extension deadline. She handled it with ease while making me so confident in her and the return in the process. She was also happy to answer a ton of questions I have had for years on my investments and overall situation, and she just finished helping me through a present tax situation that popped up. It is such a burden lifted off me knowing I've found someone I have total confidence in that I can rely on for years to come. Here is an actual email I just sent to her- "Great, thank you so much for clearing that up. I'm so thankful you were referred to me, you are the best! For the first time in 15 years I'm not dreading my return next year. :)"

I did my own business taxes for way too long! I finally decided to stop torturing myself a few years ago and I saved money! Akore is way better at saving your money than tax software is. I wish I would have realized this earlier and saved myself all the hours I spent trying to do it myself.

This is our first year (2018) we use the services of AB CPA, in previous years I had used TurboTax to file our taxes, we had purchased some investment properties and looked for the help of a profesional and turn out better than expected, Akore help us thru all the process which was very easy and we received a greater return than previous years! highly recommend their friendly and profesional service.
