Absolutely unimpressed. I had a little bit larger check (10k) from my last employer and I’ve heard such great things for so long about golden one that I was SO excited to open an account. I took a little bit extra time on lunch to go. Absolutely do not come here during lunch hour. I didn’t know to open an account you had to see the tellers so I waited in a 30 minute line just for them to put me in a 30 minute queue. By the time a teller got to me I asked how long and he said 20-30 minutes. I kind of reluctantly was like fine I’ll be late back to work. I told him I had a 10k check to deposit and wanted a new account. The first thing out of that man’s mouth was “from where?” Honestly a little accusatory sounding. I said from a retirement account at my last job and he’s like “well what are you going to do now?” I’m like uh open an account. I work for the state now. Then he asked if I wanted it in a retirement account. I said no I just want access to my funds. He then said it’s a 9 day processing. I was so done at that point. No one seemed enthusiastic to be there, they all looked stressed and were not eager to help me open an account for this dang check then it’ll take that long with no access to ANY funds Sheesh. I left and just put it in my chase account. Chase treats you like royalty no matter who you are and has a calm serene atmosphere. I might explore golden one in the future but def not this location. Did not pass the vibe check.

Some of these comments are ridiculous. Why don’t yall learn to manage your time/schedules better? They do a good job every time I’m here no matter how long the wait is. Thank you to the tellers for always being attentive and trying their hardest.

By far the worst bank I've used. Not because of tellers, but because their "fully staffed" (As I was told) is 3 tellers, and usually one is "gone on lunch". Average wait to see a teller is over 30 minutes!! Yesterday I waited 32 minutes and there was still 5 people ahead of me, 2 tellers and one went to lunch even though there were 19 people in line. I left. Today I waited 20 minutes to be seen. Again, 3rd teller went to lunch with 16 people in line. One of the two walk up arms is constantly broken. The drive through ATM constantly says its not taking deposits. And 4 days ago it ate my debit card. I had to get a new card today. And now I have to update all of my accounts with the old card #. Fully staffed with 3 tellers, but 10 teller windows, and waits almost 40 minutes long is unacceptable! Manager Alexandria needs to do a better job at letting regional that they need more staffed based on wait times. I've been experiencing this with this location for over 7 years. I finally started driving to Roseville location even though that is 20 minutes from home and Citrus Heights is only 2 minutes from my house. I have now decided to leave Golden One entirely. I'll find another credit union with acceptable levels of customer service.

Waited an hour for the cashier to tell me he couldn’t give me a new bank card because I didn’t have a photo ID. When I looked it up online, it said a birth certificate would be suffice. Closing my accounts, this bank has always been a joke. I would NOT trust them with your money!

Good location and helpful and friendly staff. They have handled the pandemic very well and are just as helpful now as they were before, only with lines outside instead.

Currently trying to access my account. If i don't check it everyday it will automatically reject my password online. Not only did they change my password AGAIN but my phone number to verify is incorrect. Then the call back option doesn't work for the phone service, just got a voice message to take a survey! My phone didn't even ring. I already knew going to the bank directly will be another nightmare. It ALWAYS IS.

My mom went in to apply for a credit card. The banker told her that she had to speak English to apply there. I thought it was very rude and racist of him to say that. That made my mom feel very bad and discriminated against. The guys name is Mark. My cousin spoke to someone named Ivette over the phone and she was very understanding of the situation and helped put in a report for this uncalled for encounter.

One of the worst banks to do banking with.
You will be waiting up for at least 30 minutes in line to do banking with them not worth the hassle. Recommend any other bank.
Only reason why I even go there is to make my credit card payments.
