At Tim's request I reevaluated my hasty rating of our real estate transaction in 2012. This was a bit unfair. Our transaction was a short sale in 2012 as a result of the real estate and financial crisis at that time accentuated by an extensive amount of time wasted trying to get a mortgage modification, to no avail. Tim presented himself to be an expert in short sales and we signed with him to sell our home which we purchased in 2004 for $460k. It sold for less than $200k but we were relieved of the mortgage. Tim was a disappointment in his performance which demonstrated he was someone less than an expert. The bank was driving the process, he was just a passenger. He seemed unaware of the relationship between the short sale and a possible bankruptcy. Most annoying was his attitude which seemed to demonstrate no concern for us, his client, going through a life changing, stressful process. An example: Just prior to closing g I got a phone call from Tim telling me I should purchase a CO monitor and install it. At this point in a process of several months I had no interest in a little detail such as that. I indicated to Tim we were out of the house, if a CO monitor was needed he should run to the hardware and install it himself. We had already lost everything we had worked for and he and the buyers were the only ones benefitting.

This was almost a decade ago and I'm hopeful Tim has improved his empathy for clients under stress.
