Jim’s a straight shooter. He listens to what you have to say. He makes suggestions, but he doesn’t push you in any way. He’s readily available when you need him. I was pretty anxious at the prospect of putting my 401k into an LPL IRA when I retired 8 years ago, but I’ve been happy with the results so far. Be careful with this firm and his sneaky super smiley ways. If you like 10% total returns over the course of 10 years, you'll love this guy. That's what he told me! "Your Mom's has done well, she earned 10% on her investments". Wow, Jim, that's great? So for the last 10 years, she's made 1% per year? Yup! That's what he said, I'll never forget it. And what Jim won't tell you is that he's putting your money in all these funds that pay him on the backend. He'll move your money around left and right and he'll generate 10-15% per year on your money, but all those $$ go to him, not you. If you have any money or investments with guy, take them and run away as far as possible.
