I was just told on a phone screening by a recruiter of theirs that they need a total commitment to accept if offered the role. I haven’t even talked to the client at all over any interview yet, I can’t commit to a role I’m just beginning to learn about.

After saying I can’t do that, he told me he was not interested in submitting my resume to the client. I’ve been working with contracts for years and never seen that. Just left with confusion and a waste of time.

I was contacted by Chris Burt in 2019. He still works diligently to uncover great opportunities for me. I completed a long-term, great-paying assignment a few months ago. It was a remote banking job. Now, I am once again gainfully employed.

This company contacted me for a three month position during the pandemic. I was jobless for the first time in a while and figured it couldn't hurt. That three months has turned into almost three years. During these three years I gained a recruiter (a whole team of them when needed) who are amazingly responsive, fight for me when needed and make sure they have my best in mind for every move. They have bent over backwards to get me positions and even negotiated raises for me during a long contract. They have recently grown but have really made efforts to keep the team feeling like a family. Consulting can be a scary idea but this team really works to make sure things are steady for you. If you do good work, they will find you work. I feel like I not only have a great manager but I have a great team working toward my career goals.
