Very poor customer service. I almost missed the time frame to apply for my initial Medicare Supplement due to the Agent. I'm now in year 2 and can't get timely answers to simple questions about my coverage. Currently looking for another Agent who offers Medicare Supplements with Aetna.

I was a policy holder with Safeco under Schlather Insurance Agency for over a year. Never had any problems in the beginning, the payments were directly taken out of my bank account, I never received calls from my agent. It was hassle free. January 18th I was rear ended at a red light, the driver was sited for the accident. I called the number on my insurance card, left a voicemail because no one had answered. I didn’t hear back until about 2 days later. When they finally called back, they said they couldn’t find any information regarding my policy. But finally stated he would call progressive (the drivers insurance company) and get a claim started. I had several questions regarding my car and medical, and he said he couldn’t answer any of my questions. I called the office on the following Tuesday to see what was going on, as my car was several damaged and nearly non-driveable. They told me to wait until Progressive calls me regarding my car and not to seek medical attention until Progressive looks into the drivers policy. Progressive took responsibility of the damages of my car, refused to total out my car, even though the damaged amount was higher than my cars value. Progressive refused to answer any medical questions for 2 weeks after the accident. I was in a panic and called my agent to see if they would help with any medical payments or help with my car. Schlather Insurance Agency refused. They are beyond rude and disrespectful, they will take your money but refuse to help when accidents do occur. Advise for anyone looking into this agency is, run as fast as you can.
I called Safeco and filed a complaint against Schlather Insurance Agency and switched different agency’s.
I would NOT recommend any going through this agency.
