My son is a new UNOH student and we had to get an apartment for him. We didn't want to make the 8 hour (each way) trip to do so , so we took a chance. Lisa and Chris in the office were VERY helpful. We were able to do everything via email except the actual signing of the lease.
We arrived at the apartment for the first time after we got into town for the move in. It is a $600/month apartment and that's what we got. No frills, some minor things like a dented fridge and the counter tops were a bit beat up but it is fine! Good size, good location and good neighbors. We were completely satisfied.

Terrible renting experience, I still have a letter they sent me with crazy fees and charges after moving out👎🏼 they do their tenants wrong!! Water is always messed up, the power surges and goes out all the time🤦🏼‍♂️ and to top it all off, after going a few days without water or power due to complex issues because of super old equipment they still use, they still demand the rent be paid in full every month when we would go days without water per month✅ month after month!! Be carful who you rent from go check the YouTube videos about Shawnee properties before you rent from them!! Lima slum lords at its finest👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼

This place sucks! My mom has been without heat for a week!! They claim to be doing what they can to fix It! Nobody has been to look at it since the day that mom discovered heat wasn’t working! I advise anyone to think twice before renting from these people. My mom has had nothing but problems in the two years she’s lived here thank god she’s moving soon!!!

this place is criminally bad. here’s a list of everything me and my mom experienced when we lived in the 8th st apts from 2016-2017.
1) my mom broke her leg because they didn’t do proper snow/ice removal in the parking lot. the property manager told my mom she’d evict us if she made a formal complaint.
2) there was a bed bug infestation when we moved in. we called maintenance and they said “it’s a tick.” no. furthest thing from a tick. when my mom called the office to ask for a pest expert to come our apt the property manager literally told us “it’s just bed bugs. at least you don’t have roaches.” WHAT?! we ended up bombing our apt 4x before we could safely stay there.
3) property manager is EXTREMELY unprofessional and rude. on multiple occasions she called both my mom and i fat (we can still hear you in the hallway), and also told my mom she looks homeless.
4) the property manager and maintenance both would unexpectedly show up at the apt and walk in. no notice, no knocking. one time a maintenance worker came in while i (16 at the time) was getting out of the shower. he walked into the bathroom “to fix our toilet. my mom was again threatened with eviction if she made a police report.
5) finally, but not least, the property manager would FREQUENTLY talk to white tenants about how “disgusting” and “trashy” the black tenants were. the property manager would frequently use racial slurs when speaking in regards to black or mexican people.

These guys have the nerve to call themselves professional. Only stay in Columbia Terrance if you have no other choice!!!!! I've dealt with theft, roaches, no hot water, and even septic water backing up into my apartment MULTIPLE times! Getting any help from them is useless. They will only advocate for themselves and only care when you're calling to pay your rent on the first

Do not under any circumstances rent from these clowns.

I had a leak in my apartment on the basement level for more than half a year that they never bothered to fix. It left hard water stains on my carpet and allowed for mold build up which greatly affected my ability to breathe, being asthmatic and allergic to mold. When my lease ended in July I signed paperwork that I would be out in August, 1 month later while I searched for a new place. In fact, I slept in my car a few days because I got out exactly the day I needed to. I turned in both sets of keys I had been given, but kept the ones I had made on my own dime as Spares because I only had been given two sets, and cleaned the apartment throughly.

Come find out here in March 2020 (nearly 9 months later) they sent me to collections for cleaning charges, 1 months rent and late charges. I was never once notified of this and I called the creditor and the rep said this is not the first time they pulled this stunt.

Bottom line, don't rent with this company. They do not care about tennants or their wellbeing.

They got us approved for a place the same day we turned in our applications and helped us with all of our paper work. A step was broken and was a safety concern for us and they fixed it the first day the office was open again and maintenance was available. Very nice maintenance workers and a nice apartment for a decent price. So far it's a very comfortable place for us. 😊

Have been renting a house from them for a while now & haven’t had any issues. The people in the office are always nice to my kids & I. We love the house we rent & any issues maintenance always comes in a timely manner. Had a few very nice maintenance guys.
