I've had all kinds of problems with this company. Literally no accountability, no integrity, highly unethical, very unempathetic. Staff pretend to be too busy for a 5-10 minute phone call and can seldom be reached. When asked for call backs, they just have excuses. When I do get to talking to anyone, their words and their actions don't add up. Based off of previous reviews, they seem to be biased in terms of who they're more professional with which is definitely a guardian personality quality as far as the staff that I've interacted with. A certain staff member which I won't name publicly has been very divisive and thinks she can be forceful in her approach which is a gaslighting tactic. Staff has literally shown up to my residence uninvited and randomly. All of this has a very anti-social quality to it and is highly immature. Their larger than life egos must be checked and common sense is you don't reward bad behavior. Would never recommend them until they do an about face and correct themselves and their toxic behaviors.

Sterling Case Management came into my life to assist with my father's financial needs. Since July, 2023 they have organized all of his financial matters and now have him on track to having a positive bank account that is 100% protected for him and in his best interest. I'm very blessed to have their support with my dad. Thank you to all the Staff for all your hard work with my dad's financial monies and assets.

Current client.
They refuse to pay my bills, late fess associated with those bills.
I am now homeless bc they were nearly a month late paying July, and have not paid the current month.
They refuse to pay my caregivers invoice so I may need a new caregiver as well.
I've spoken with four of their employees, including the President, Martelle. Zero resolution. Martelle assured me I'd be assigned to a bookkeeper that will actually do her job, but I'm still getting email requesting for more documentation from Stacy, the Bookkeeper who has successfully damaged my finances and my, as well as my family's well-being.
The VA has also made several unsuccessful attempts to contact them.
In addition to their monthly fee, they now want to charge me extra activation and monthly fees just to buy groceries and pay my phone bill and streaming services.
No money for ANY other expenses. So, according to them, my family and I can have one phone, weekly allowance for groceries, can stream videos, but CANNOT have a place to live/buy a tooth brush/toilet paper/school clothes/school supplies/ have gas to drive them to school/ oranything else, for that matter.
More to list, but tbh, I'm just disgusted to list them all.
I didn't fight and kill for my country to come home and be treated like this.
Run away as fast as you can if Sterling management has been assigned to you as a fiduciary.

Martelle and her team were incredibly responsive to a tricky and rather urgent situation that I had. Since I was mostly out of town I also really appreciated the regular communications. Sterling had been referred to me and I was glad they were.

As a Realtor I specialize working with estate sales and have helped several clients sell their homes who use Sterling's services. I know all of the staff pretty well and can say they do a fantastic job representing their clients best interest. They are responsive, and very well respected in the industry. Martelle, Liz, Ruth and the rest of the team are as good as they get. Call them, you will be glad you did.

Martelle Olsen and the other fiduciaries on her staff are a combination of incompetence, inexperience and arrogance that will some day be devastating to a family that makes the mistake of putting their trust in them. When a company has to rely on positive reviews from individuals who have never been clients and who have a professional interest in offering good reviews be warned. Don’t put a loved one at risk by having anything to do with this company.

After posting this review a few weeks ago I noticed that three brand new five star reviews suddenly appeared in a matter of days after my review, two on the same day. This after only six reviews were posted over the previous four years. Do your homework and be critical of every review and recommendation before making such an important decision for your family.
