I have been banking with atomic for 6-7 years now. Everyone has always been so nice and I absolutely love banking with them. Today, I walked into this one because I recently got married and needed to change my last name. I spoke with a woman named Cera Hesseling (I think I’m spelling it right lol). She was the absolute sweetest! Every employee I’ve met has been great, always, but this one specifically stuck out to me to the point I decided to leave a review. Great staff and great customer service always!

What bank don't cash a check that's been endorsed to the person that has the account. This bank here Atomic Credit Union in Chillicothe Ohio, don't, recommend me to go to a check cashing place down the road from the bank, now what's the point in having a bank account at a bank that u cannot cash a check at, said it's now there policy they can pick and choose who they want to expect and cash a check or not, and for no reason what's so ever did they have any reason in not excepting it from me other then they just wasn't excepting that check, and to beat it all it was a government check they know is going to come back good, as I was only cashing it to help a old time friend that didn't have her id yet, now that they mail the ID's out through mail, only because no one would except the paper from the DMV, with photo and info stating she had just renewed her ID. Atomic is a joke, how can they just pick and choose who they want to expect a check from when I gave no reason what's so ever for them to make the decision they did other then they didn't want too

I've done my banking here for over 6 years now. I might go when they are less busy and usually don't have much of a wait if there is one. Never had a problem with anyone. They are always friendly and helpful. I'm there enough most of them know me by name. They've added additional branches now. If I happen to be on the west side of Chillicothe or up in Circleville it's never a problem hopping into another one of their many branches. Fees are so much better at here than a bank. I love their mobile app and use it regularly. Wish they still did shared branch banking but you can't win them all.

I have had this account for about two months now. The customer service has always been great on the phone and in person, the locations have always been convenient and I like the hours. BUT I'm concerned with a few things. I am a single mom who works full time and don't usually have time to go into the grocery store so I always place an online Walmart order for pick up. I haven't used my atomic account to do so since getting it, but when I tried it flagged my account for fraud. I had to call to let me them know it was me, and they said everything was clear. It still wouldn't go through after that. I have already had to cancel my first debit card because I had SEVERAL Amazon transactions I didn't authorize. And now I see two more from two different sites totaling over $100 on my NEW card. I have no idea why this keeps happening but it's very frustrating.

Great experience so far. Whoever runs the facebook page, he or she does a great job. Always answers my questions and is willing to help. Would be nice if they could get on the list of banks that can be verified by third parties because as of now you cant use apps like Dave or Floatme with them. Outside of that, no complaints. Always get my paycheck one day early, hardly ever charged a fee for overdrafts. Great CCU.

They seem to have mysterious fees that keep taking my money. I've heard from quiet a few people who've said the same thing. My youngest sister worked there and confirmed it. I do no recommend this bank! Unless you want to go broke trying to save your money.
