If you are looking for a CPA to trust and build a long-term business relationship with, I highly suggest you don't waste your time with Kentner Driver and Associates. The disorganization of this firm and subsequent lack of communication is astounding. The unprofessionalism and disrespect we experienced are unacceptable.

In December of 2021, we were looking for a CPA and after some research thought that Bill Driver at Kenter Driver and Associates was a potential solution. Our first impression of Bill was nothing but positive. He spent over an hour answering our questions and describing what he could offer us in terms of his services. We were convinced we'd found what we were looking for.

In early February of this year, we submitted the required tax documents via the link that was provided to us. From that point on, no contact was initiated by Bill or his associates. I contacted them to request a link for my in-laws to use as they would also be utilizing their services since we share a small rental business. After several weeks of no contact, I called the business line and spoke with one of the secretaries to try and verify that all paperwork was received and see if anything else was required. From what she could tell, they had received our correspondence but could offer no other information.

At the end of March, we became nervous since we hadn't heard anything. I reached out via the contact link on their website and waited for an email response. After not receiving anything, I called on 01 April 2022 and spoke with a secretary. I provided her with our names and submission timelines at which point she became flustered and stated that she "would have to call me back after looking on everyone's desks to see if she could find our paperwork." In an attempt to help her, I let her know that our initial consultation was with Bill Driver. Needless to say, I did not get off the phone feeling comfortable with the situation.

On 02 April 2022, we received an email from Mr. Driver requesting additional information. My husband responded several hours later that day stating that he would provide the requested information ASAP as he was traveling and also conveyed his concerns with how things had been handled with our account up to this point. Just over an hour later, Bill responded with, "I respectfully remove myself from being your tax preparer effective immediately."

Two weeks before taxes are due, Bill Driver resigns without any concern for what predicament he may be leaving us in. Had we not followed up with Kentner Driver and Associates, I'm confident our taxes would not have been done by the due date. We are shocked by the lack of communication and the abruptness of resignation when we simply voiced our concerns and tried to establish expectations moving forward. Clearly, transparency, professionalism, and communication are not values held in high regard at this firm.
