Hi everyone, in July 2023 Axxis Title purchased Van Horn Title. It's been an exciting year filled with many challenges. I see many 5 star reviews on google and also a couple poor reviews. I can assure you that our systems/processes have greatly improved and customer service is better than ever. Out of the entire home buying process, Van Horn was the worst to deal with. I would never choose to work with them again, and would have liked to had the choice to pick a different company (sellers chose Van Horn). We were told by our lender that the title company would reach out with information on how to wire the money… they never did. Our lender is who provided us with the wire information.

My boyfriend and I were first time homebuyer, and I had never wired money before, and prior to this didn’t really know what a wire was. My boyfriend called Van Horn and was laughed at, and talked down at. Whoever he spoke with was very rude, and did not make us feel great about them handling the biggest transaction of our life thus far.

Van Horn also reached out to my realtor claiming that I only wired half of my closing payment. However, we had wired the full amount, just half was gifted and did not come from my bank. Which again, is very concerning that these people are handling such large transactions when all of the information would have been provided to them?

Jerry at closing was nice, and provided a very informative closing. He was never rude. The math was done wrong when we wired the remaining balance, and our wire was $.10 short, Jerry very kindly ate the $.10.

However, the sellers were scheduled to close after us? Which meant that we left without a copy of our signed deed, which you need to be able to transfer utilities!! So when I called Van Horn after realizing this, the woman who answered (I think her name was Helen) was very rude, and spoke to me like I was dumb for not knowing that a deed would be mailed to me. She offered to email a copy, but then didn’t relay the message to the people within the office. I called a few days later after having not received a copy of my deed and spoke to a woman named Brandy. Brandy was so kind, and apologetic, and emailed me a copy of the deed as soon as she could.

Overall, we have a very bad taste in our mouth about Van Horn and would never recommend them to anyone who is looking for a title agency.

I would tell anyone doing business with Van Horn Title Agency to look for another title agency. I had a couple forms sent to me by the bank from Van Horn Title and I didn't understand how to fill them out. I called Van Horn and was transferred to Helen. She spoke down to me, sighed, and was just down right rude the entire conversation, because I didn't know how to fill out the Documents. This happened 03/16/2022.

Janice and team at Van Horn Title has went above and beyond. They cut through all the difficulties of the title work. It is greatly appreciated for all their hard work!

Just spoke with a Helen and she was the rudest person I’ve ever spoke with. Can not get any answers from them and when I asked for her supervisor she hung up on me.
