When you call do not prompt as an existing customer. They don't pick up that line because they are too busy trying to catch the next potential customer. I waited almost an hour before using my second phone to call as a new customer and someone answered that call within three minutes. Also my son was charged a renewal fee on a cancelled account and when we called agent denied the charges. Warning to all current renter's insurance customer do not have your account as an auto renewal.

same problem as other reviewers... I just accept I got scammed. after a year I cancelled the policy (and knowing they have this BS kinda issue- I called them).... fast forward a year I get an email they they're auto-renewing for a 2nd year.... and they'd already charged me for the previous year and I never noticed.....
so moral of the story- cancel online (or try to), then call them, and ask them for a receipt- because doing things online didn't matter, nor did talking to them to sure it was cancelled... gotta have hard proof (and check your bank account anyway to make sure)

Very bad experience and frustrated, in renewal they charge extra fee for cancellation, I asked them before renewal they told there wont be any cancellation charges, customer services provide wrong information, they do not know what they are doing. I would suggest LEMONADE insurance very affordable, hassle free.

if I could give 0 stars I would. This is the worst insurance agency and I would never use them again if it was not required by my apartment complex. I have tried calling their customer service multiple times w/ 30+ minute wait times. I have also sent half a dozen unanswered emails. They canceled by policy because they misread my email. I do not recommend using them if you can avoid it

It is easy to obtain insurance through the company, but when it comes time to cancel or obtain proper documentation it is a hassel. The communication with this company is poor and the customer service representative doesn't take time to listen to the customer. It will take you a day or two to get ahold of anyone and there is no way to do anything on its website! They will forget to list the name of the apartment complex. They are quick to contact the apartment complex when coverage is canceled or you want to leave to another renter's insurance company. Yet, they will not even contact the apartment complex on your behalf. Think twice before doing business with the company. A true scam! ** Let's see how long it will take you to get ahold of someone? I hope I will not have an issue when the time comes to officially cancel this policy, but after reading past reviews; it looks as though I will!

Horrible communication with this company. My mom bought the extra insurance for her carpet . She moved out in June of 2024. I have contacted them to make a claim for my mom’s carpet . They have pushed me from one person to another telling me that they have not had a response from heritage estates where she lives. Heritage says the same thing about insurance.they have turned my mom over to collections and she has never been in collections in her 84 yrs of life.
I have been dealing with this and keep getting the run around.
Please think twice before using this company.

Every two months they ask for my insurance to be loaded and then they say that they got a notice it was expired. It’s never expired. I pay it in full Every time I renew. In the interested party changes every time as well I’m getting charged fees because they’re telling my complex that they’re getting these notices but there’s no way

I had them for a year and switched to lemonade insurance yet e premium keeps emailing like I don’t know I have to keep rentals insurance. Rates jump after the first year and customer service is horrible and most times I can’t even understand what the person is saying. Horrible. Choose anyone else
