I have had the misfortune of dealing with Kemba Credit Union for several years now and they never cease to amaze me, in a bad way. This view does not reflect my dealings with every employee at Kemba, primarily an employee named Michelle. Their motto, slogan, promise etc says that each customer will be dealt with with empathy, the customers financial well-being in mind and so on. This is not my experience and has never been my experience with them. If anything the severe lack of professionalism, lack of empathy, the total disregard of my financial well being is what I've been shown. If you have to go with them then you have to.But If you have any other option you'll thank yourself later

I came in kemba on a Saturday 15mins before they close to open a new account and was told I had to wait until Monday. But the bank workers were sitting around doing nothing. Thanks for wasted trip and time. Definitely wouldn’t recommend going because if your open until 1pm why can’t you help me at 12:45

I'm a big fan of Kemba. the staff are always helpful and generally great! BUT, have you seen the new rules that you have to agree to for the system they have changed over to? In super tiny print that you cannot zoom on the phone, so I suggest taking a screen shot to read it, if you are a member. You have to agree to this to use the online banking system - both phone and computer. Gist - they can track your internet use, pages you view, how long you stay on them, if you interact with them, etc. Umm, that's not creepy. That's not an invasion of privacy. :/

this negative reviews does not reflects on the Kemba Credit union branch staff are great and friendly.
This review is about the loan department staff, my husband and I took out my first loan for home repairs and they have made the process a nightmare. we started the loan at the and of last year and we still haven't got it all. because the keep making mistake on purpose for example writing the wrong amount on the checks.
I never hear of something like this to take so long its been a nightmare I don't recommend it for anyone from LGBT community, if you get me. Its not fair.

Tellers are always friendly and courteous. I have been with this credit union for years. I just wish their accounts earned more interest. Very low percentage rates. I bank with Chase also. Offer special accounts for Veterans. Money orders are free to Vets at Chase Bank, and we don't have to pay typical fees. I originally went with Kemba Credit Union for a credit card. I have a revolving credit card that works for me and helped me to rebuild my credit.

I been with Kemba for years I think it’s time for a new bank or credit union Preston that works with the loan department is rude and nonchalant even after you explain your history some Kemba members just don’t care I’m sadden by this can’t believe I’m even writing this everybody on different time and nobody is on the same page you get a different story from every department y’all need meetings to be on the same page if your all not sure
I edited this bc I had more details I spoke to a Julie (Preston supervisor)and she just as worst then Preston smh throw the whole department away at this point no social skills each 1 teach 1 this is ridiculous from what I been thru they are not the kind of people to understand your trials n tribulations this truly unfortunate but nevertheless I’m gone get pass this nightmare because that what it feels like god got me and stand on it
To all my other Kemba workers sorry I had to write this love y’all down but throw the collections department n loan department away for lack of information

Wow. Ive been a customer for years and am now no longer. Preston Cooper ruined it for me. He has no customer service skills. He did not try to understand anything and literally did not care that he is causing a long term customer to leave. Kemba management really needs to reassess their employee(s). I have given them so much money over the years in interest that it's astonishing they don't want to keep me as a customer.

I prefer to support credit unions and was happy to open an account with Kemba when I moved to Cincinnati. However, I was shocked to find out they charge a substantial fee ($6) if you don't use your debit card each month, and the fee comes out of your SAVINGS account, so it is easy to miss. I have never heard of a credit union engaging in this type of practice, these types of fees are the reason I left big banks in the first place. When I called they refused to refund all of my money. Very disappointing. I will be opening an account with Cinfed today and closing my Kemba account shortly.
