I have been with Signature Federal Credit union about 6 years. I started with a credit score of 580. Thanks to Edna Lyons and her expertise, experience and hard work, my credit is now 835. I have consolidated debt with her twice and refinanced 2 cars! She is patient, knowledgeable, honest and always available to answer any questions. She works endlessly to achieve approvals. Edna is always in a cheerful mood. So much that she makes my day better no matter what the day has been!

I would not recommend this credit union at all. From the moment I applied it was issues. When I first applied and got in, I went for a credit card & loan just for all of them to get denied (my credit is in the 700s) and get a $1,000 credit limit instead of the $5k. They did not even counter offer the other loan it was just denials. I applied to DCU and 2 other credit unions and got approved for $28k & a $5k credit card. I also went to get a checking and got originally denied twice because of inquires on my chex systems (which I have never heard of being a denial reason) and when I checked my Chex systems most of the inquires come from this bank. The next issues arise after getting my card, for one .. both the debit & credit has the lowest spending limit a human can possibly have.. as if im a teenager it’s $250/day. That includes if you’re trying to pay bills with the card and everything. And two the APP SHUTS DOWN EVERYDAY !!!! you’ll never know what time but randomly you could be trying to connect your bank to something, lock or unlock your card, transfer, do anything and the app always says “error” . so you can’t check anything, if you use this as your main you couldn’t possibly lock your card to prevent fraud & think you’ll be able to unlock it when you need. then recently I went into a restaurant and the credit card got declined for no reason at all and they could not even explain why. Then I would say a few days later I decide to finally use the debit card and im going into stores with a full cart at checkout and my card starts randomly declining and most banks would have a way to contact them at any hours when it’s regarding your card but here? no. the line you call about your card is not even connected to signature fcu so they can only help with a very and when I say very little I mean little amount of things. I call the number and they said the issue is okay on their end and I have to call signature fcu about the issue but I can’t because they are closed. I tried the atm, adding cash somewhere else, etc.. and this card just does not work and then the next day I have to be told I need to put in a request to unblock the card and tried to say it was over multiple wrong pins but it was declining before a PIN number was used. You would think that would be my last issue with it.. no.. I have literally been shopping and only spent about $40 between 2 different stores within an hour and as im going to the next store which is right next door from the one I just left and I checkout the same issue happens again. And of course the visa line you call does nothing and says I have to contact fcu. I would not recommend using this bank at all.

I am very happy with the outcome of my HELOC application with Signature Federal Credit Union. Jason Hong was excellent, he kept me informed during the process and facilitated moving the request through to approval. I look forward to closing this loan and accessing the funds for a long overdue kitchen remodel.
