They were exceptionally helpful in selling us the auto+home insurance, but when a couple years later we needed to clarify our coverage they aren't able to answer the seemingly simple question. Also, we found Allstate slogan about being "in good hands" a fair bit overstated. We have been trying to sort out simple case of rain damage for over a month now, and without having our "own handyman" on quick dial, it's been problematic to find an Allstate contractor to get it done despite being ready to forward our own $1000.

Took photos of my house without my knowledge or consent to try to sell me insurance. So creepy. Should be illegal.

Edit regarding their response: I have never spoken or written to these people before, so the claim we discussed this is a lie. I know the photo is from somewhere other than Google Earth, because it contains a change to my neighbor’s property that did not occur until after Google Earth was most recently updated. Also, the vantage point from which the photos were taken is not in the middle of the street as a Street View or Apple Maps car would be. I would not have complained if I had not checked publicly available information. Leaving the one-star review as-is because buying data like this is almost as bad as collecting it yourself, and the respondent did not check the source of their data before making accusations. I also would not trust my private information with an insurance company that mails a photo of my house on the outside of an envelope without my consent. That’s still creepy.

I had to suspend my classes are and I forgot that I had Allstate insurance on my credit card and they called and let me know that they didn’t get paid and I paid them right away. I thank them for the service and they are a good company for my insurance.

Not pleased at all. My sister was added to my insurance without my knowledge and they had the nerve to take more money out of my account than agreed upon. I asked for a refund and was told I could get some of the money back but not all. For something they did wrong. SMH That’s low. Even after I send them a statement that she does not live with me. Very upsetting and I am highly displeased.
