Called DMV insurance for an auto rate quote. They debited $215 from my account without my authorization or my knowledge. Then, 3 months later they call me to tell me they debited this money from my account. Then tell me my policy was cancelled. Huh?!! I never started a policy. I just called for a quote! After that mess, a new mess begins....i requested a refund. For 2 weeks straight, I heard nothing but excuses from Elmer, the agent or rep. Elmer is a liar! He told me all i had to do was sign a document and my refund would be returned within 3 business days. That 3 days turned into 7 days. During that 7 days, I was given more excuses as to why I hadn't received my refund yet. I had to call the actual insurance company to get down to the bottom of things. The day I called Traveler's Insurance is the day I found out Elmer only sent my cancellation letter the day of me calling Traveler's insurance!!! So...make that about a 10 day wait to get my money back. It took no time for them to take my money, but it took damn near 2 weeks to refund it back!!!! DMV INSURANCE SUCKS!!!! Elmer sucks! I will never ever ever ever deal with this insurance agency ever again! Be careful when getting a quote. Don't give your credit card info if you just want a quote. LESSON LEARNED!

After 3 years, I had to move my 3 policies (a bundle and two additional policies) to another insurance agency. If you keep calling and emailing without proper follow through on your request, run like a gazelle. Because I was slow (life happens) at moving my policies to another agency, I may stand to lose approximately $600. A consumer complaint will be filed. I believe my original agent who brought me to DMV is no longer with them and they continue pretending he was. I never received a return call from my original agent.

I've been doing business with DMV Insurance Agency for over 5 years and for those 5 years I have not ever had one issue with this business. Elmer, Helen and Regina have always been quick and willing to help me when I need them. They provide exceptional service, which is why I prefer to go here rather than the MVA for all my tag, title and insurance needs.

I had called and left several messages to DMV so I could make a few changes to my policy. After leaving 3 messages with no response, I finally spoke with Regina who apologized and explained that they were going through a few changes. I completely understand and asked her to quote me on the changes I was looking for. She sent me an email where I responded immediately saying " great, where do we go from here". She never replied! I emailed her several more times over the course of the next few weeks with no response. This place seems like a scam. It was good under their former owners. This team is garbage and I will take my business to someone who knows how to answer a phone or reply to an email. STAY AWAY!!!!!!
