The elderly tenants that they are housing at RiverTowers on Jefferson Ave in Detroit do not feel safe any longer , elevators are out of service,frequently forcing those who walk to go down stairs and
perhaps have an accident, those with walkers or wheelchairs just will have to wait and wait and wait.
They have a green light outside but what does that matter when they have removed the entry gates that ensured that only those who were tenants had access, now anyone can drive or walk around the perimeter and gain access to the building and prey upon the tenants.
Partying goes on inside, driving the peace and quite that once was a senior building to a unsafe place for anyone who opens up there mouth to protest ...whoe to anyone that denies access to a stranger standing behind you wanting to enter the building. These are called "Reduction of Services" and now people are so fed up they are forced to go outside protesting in the street for their services to be restored....safety is their number one priority and I don't blame them!!!!
Please be aware where you place your parents and make note.

My grandmother lives at Porthaven Manor and it is the best senior facility I've ever seen. The experience is amazing; games, activities, entertainment and the staff is so caring and friendly. I suggest this company to everyone. It is well managed and the staff are compassionate to all the seniors needs so they can live independently. I can't wait until I'm older so I can move in!
