Mr. Shelby and his associates are a highly professional team were quick to respond and were extremely helpful throughout all phases of my tax return. Mr. Shelby took the time to personally speak with me about any potential concerns. The portal they utilize is user friendly and made a great vehicle for answering any questions during the preparation. Message to the firm owners: get someone else to do your intake, the woman who called me today sounded like she was being *paid* to discourage potential clients from doing business with you. But maybe that's what you're going for? If so, mission accomplished!

I give 5 stars to Mr. Shelby! We sold our house in Baltimore in Jan 2018. Because we were out-of-state residents, the state of MD withheld 7.5% on the entire purchase price (yes, unbelievably, as if the cost basis of the house = $0). I filed a MD non-resident return in March 2019 to get my refund ($12,000.00). However, they never processed our return, even though I have a certified receipt that they received it. Being non-resident, we were about to give up and let MD treasury rip us off for $12K, when I instead made the wise decision to contact Mr. Shelby. He redid our return and sent it via Priority delivery service in July, along with Title company proof of withholding. But, MD still stalled to process it. However, Mr. Shelby did not give up. He pestered them continuously until I finally got my refund in Sept. I am so thrilled with his perseverance and not giving into their unprofessional (if not unethical) bureaucratic behavior. I wholeheartedly recommend Mr. Shelby to solve folk's tax difficulties.

He was able to work some magic and squared me away with minimal damage. Also, I noticed the office was way more comfortable than any H&R Block I've ever set foot in.
