I’ve been a State Farm customer since I got my first car….. my headlight went out and I couldn’t change it till this morning and I wanted to check my insurance app to make sure I was prepared with my digital card in case I got pulled over. I couldn’t find my car insurance- only my home owners coverage. I call them about it this morning and they tell me I was cancelled in July because my card expired and the payment didn’t go through. I said ya know, I’ve had a pretty stressful year with my Mom dying and my dad being diagnosed with bladder cancer & in & out of the emergency room/hospital stays. I asked why they never called to inform me? She tried to argue with me that they did. I said car insurance is something I would never go without and I would have been more than happy to have straighten things up if I had known. She still wanted to argue with me. I asked what it would take to reinstate my coverage. Here’s the funny part! Because I have been without insurance for 4 fricking months I will be penalized by paying DOUBLE what I was paying before even though I have absolutely NOTHING on my driving record. That’s right!!! $290 a month!!! Thanks for being a customer for 20 years!! Thank YOU State Farm but I’ll be taking my money elsewhere, home insurance included!!!

Twice we thought we were hiring LOCAL agents for our homeowners, but somehow got stuck with non-local agents. Not only is the Adam Hancock team located right on Townsend in Montrose, but Janell bent over backwards to help us save on home & auto insurance -- by almost double! She was responsive, down-to-earth, and incredibly helpful (not to mention patient). She even invited us to the Corn Festival and the whole team was there.
