Can’t get ahold of anyone by phone. I’ve been trying to figure out why I’ve been denied, I keep getting told I make 107K a year. Please, if I made that I wouldn’t be trying to get onto one of these properties. While speaking to a property manager at The Terrace Park apartments I was told to be quiet it wasn’t my turn to speak, so I got upset and asked if she was stupid? I don’t even make the maximum amount for myself and two dependents, but because I’m not on Medicaid, my job pays for my insurance I’m denied. Very disappointed that I can’t even speak to a person about the situation.

PICTURE: Insulting false letter from the office on the bottom.Since my family moved here we have had nonstop issues here. First, they won't tell you this but the post office has told me that Castlegate has had their boxes broken into way to many times. 80 dollars a year for a p.o. box but it's worth it. Second, you do not want to get on the top office workers bad side, they can play dirty with their positions. Remember that this is a low income place so I wasn't sure if they were just hard with me because of the territory. There was an issue with my payment for the rent and they spoke down and treated me like I was a thug (while I was holding my baby!!!!). I called their main office was only able to speak to one from all the times I called and left messages. When I spoke to someone I said that I am sure thar they are not bad people that it just wasn't right how they spoke to me. Not too long after putting in the complaint they send us a letter that I have hostile behavior, call their office nonstop while we were trying to fix the payment issue and finding out the issues with the mailboxes, and maintenance. The letter said i called their workers hoodlums when i asked if it was okay that they could come fix the sink when my partner gets home since I am alone with the baby and they said that was fine, and they fixed the sink. But then write that have refused maintenance and called the workers names? It was two young guys in uniform... 😑 really? My partner met the worker that fixed our sink and he was cool as hell. This whole letter says nothing truthful and I am shocked, never have I been involved in a scandal like this. Worse of all, they got away with hurting my family and im not even allow to reach them to bring the blinds that they never brought so people keep looking in my home. So not only do they have the power to do this because their head office lets them get away but the Arvada Police department and the Fair Housing Act says that as long as they know the law they could pull dirty moves on tenants and avoids a civil suits. But both departments have my records and has also warned me they have gotten compliants on Castlegate from other past tenants. And all of this was just because my bank had an issue. Best thing to do is pay monthly with a cashier's check. I have nothing against anyone here but it is very childish how things turned out and worse getting my baby involved. Those women spoke to me so nasty that my baby stopped making eye contact and smiles at strangers. Living here for the past month has been a living hell and I still have another 11 months here and it has already done enough damage. They won and we cannot even get anything fixed or even ask a simple question. Partner works their hours and I and the monster (which if anything they had wrote about me was true they should have called the cops on me because I am always with my baby). Good luck guys, if you do make this place your home and encounter any messed up things while living here please contact both the Arvada non- emergency police department and the Denver Fair Housing Act. If they get enough complains they might finally open an investigation and hopefully your family won't have to go through all the heartache and stress that my family had to go through.

Update to my review after receiving response from ComCap
**

Not surprisingly, denial is seen as a valid defense to complaints as evidenced by ComCap's typical response to all complaints.

FYI FOR COMCAP:
Do you really believe I didn't obtain additional sources who can verify my lack of hot water?

Do you believe there aren't others who can verify when Pinewood Lodge was first notified about this issue?

Do you believe the contractor who ultimately fixed the problem would substantiate your claim that an entire apartment building had to be without hot water for 5 months if I was?

And do you believe it's reasonable to hire an outside contractor to fix a problem that according to you didn't exist?

Do you believe the public is too ignorant to understand your unreasonable claims? Evidently you do!
**

If I could give a minus rating, I wouldn't hesitate! Quite frankly, I'm shocked that Innovage has hired such an incompetent, discompassionate company to manage a senior apartment community.

Chris Vargas and the property manager at this complex have mistaken their roles. They manage this community as if it were a boarding school and the property manager is the head Mistress who feels entitled to direct the lives of tenants who live here. There is total disregard for our apartments as our homes, they're run like rooms in a boarding house owned by the property manager or Chris Vargas.

Their inability to respond appropriately to maintenance issues is countered by blaming the tenant for management's lack of response. The property managers is obsessed with printing and posting "violations" on tenants doors in an attempt to threaten and embarrass residents, rather than being proactive in helping tenants with issues and making our experience here enjoyable.  She has decided it is within her province to define when we may use amenities.  Her approach to  a request is to first deny it, then invalidate your reason for asking, and finally to unilaterally end the conversation and walk away. Her correspondence is rude and demeaning and her personal interaction is the same. Her propensity for being right about everything is overwhelming. She will argue about anything and everything with you. Her behavior is not only supported by Chris Vargas, but it is encouraged.  She has harassed tenants to the point of wanting to leave or exaggerating claims in an effort to justify eviction. Her nickname among the tenants is the Warden, and in concert with  Chris Vargas, act more as adversaries rather than advocates, leaving tenants with no option but to contact CHFA hoping to resolve issues. It makes one wonder if the real issue isn't cash flow problems. For example, I was without hot water for 5 months before they hired an outside contractor to fix the problem. The maintenance supervisor was unlicensed and unable to restore hot water and pressure to my apartment. They claimed the reason it took so long was because I objected twice when maintenance entered my apartment without notice or my permission,  even though that was 2 months into the problem. The property manager did not offer an alternate apartment for me to shower nor have they offered to recompensate me for a devalued apartment.  In fact, they have refused to do so. I could go on, but I'm sure you get the picture. Stay away from any property managed by comcap, and if you are interested in an Innovage property, bring this matter to their attention. Thank you for taking the time to read this review.

This property is INFESTED with bedbugs. I first started receiving bites in 6/21. After much complaining exterminators came. They (Terminex) found 2 bedbugs.
I am clean, my apt is IMMACULATE.. Cristina yelled at me that "You brought them in". I had to struggle to get exterminator treatment. After arduous preparations my apt was finally sprayed. Less than 2 wks later I was still getting bites. I had to haggle to get my apt re-sprayed. There are MANY apts with bedbugs and furniture that is infected is being put in the trash rooms.
( Which are a whole different problem...the trash rooms are filthy and the stench leaks into adjacent apts(. So, they got a giant dumpster which is being filled week after week with bedbug infested furniture AND.... ppl are going out to that dumpster to remove pieces of furniture which only infects more apartments(. This place is unfit for habitation due to the mgmt named Cristina!! Horrible place!

If I get give this a 0 rating, I’m would. The amount of times you have to call to speak someone is ridiculous. Not to mention, when you leave a voicemail, no one returns your call. No wonder there’s a less than 2 star rating 😵‍💫

Our elevator had been broken for over six weeks. We can go down but can’t come back up. Most people leave a family member home so they can go grocery shopping and have them press the elevator button to get to the floor their apartment is on because the fob doesn’t work. Unfortunately for me, my daughter is too young to leave home alone so we get home late at night and have to walk all the way to the other side of the building (unsafe) to get to the one elevator that works. Then walk all the way around with bags in tow. Not fun with severe sciatica issues. The pain is excruciating and the poor girl in the management office just keeps making excuses. It’s probably her boss’s fault and she doesn’t even know what to say anymore.
