The parking lot they own in Evergreen (by Beau Jos) will fine you an ungodly amount if your paid hour is over by a minute. This is a failed effort to encourage turn over and discourage overnight parking. All you have to do is charge for parking and people will pay it if they want the convenience. Instead, they went from a free lot, to a paid lot, to a paid lot that will charge you $85 for being over by 10 minutes. It's going to hurt Evergreen’s business owners as I know I'll think twice about visiting with this parking lot being such a costly ordeal.

Predatory parking fines in downtown evergreen. The camera clocks the vehicle going into and out of the parking lot. It does not account for how long it takes to drive around in circles to wait for a spot to open. Once you drive into the lot, parked or not, the clock starts. They will send you an $82 fine for your vehicle being in their lot if you are 1 minute late driving out of the lot. This business out to be ashamed of their system and aggression on their ticketing rules. If they cared about doing the right thing they would audit this system and realize they are trying to gouge people for the few minutes it takes to get into a spot, get the QR code scanned, type in their credit card, and the last few minutes pulling out of their spot trying no to and navigate out. They literally hired a parking monitoring company that has been sued by and lost to the CO AG because if predatory parking schemes like this one.
