Fantastic experience. Ann McGraw completed our business taxes. Very professional, quick turnaround, and great money saving advice.

Just had my taxes completed here for the first time, and it was great. Michelle was awesome! She was very nice, very personable, and she is great at taxes!
I will come back next year. The price of the service is worth the piece of mind, knowing that it is done correctly.

I have been going to Clymer, Hall, & Davis for over 18yrs now. Richard Clymer is an amazing tax accountant for both personal and business taxes. He has always been very professional and thorough while doing our taxes and make sure we get all of our write offs entered in correctly. He always tells us how it is and doesn’t sugarcoat things. By following his advice we normally always get a refund and the years we don’t he helps us make payment arrangements with IRS so we are not penalized though the roof. Richard is the first and only person I go to when it comes to taxes. A side bonus, he doesn’t charge you and arm & leg to prepare your taxes.

Best and most ethical tax preparer anywhere! We’ve been with him over 30 years and wouldn’t trust anyone else. Don’t believe the pettiness of some rude, condescending people on the “review” board.
It is tragic that during that time Richard was extremely sick (R.I.P. Mr. Clymer). He was a class act and they don’t need the headache of the ones used to cheap, inexperienced preparers. Clymer, Hall & Davis is a professional, experienced and ethical business and they are successful enough, rightfully so, to PICK AND CHOOSE,, who they do business with. Thank you Richard for being a class act, may your legacy live on!

-Update: After speaking to a manager, we determined my taxes were not submitted until I called. He apologized and offered me a refund on the $260 it cost me. When I went in today to get my check, the tax associate that did our taxes apologized in person and offered to do next years taxes for free.
Me and my wife went to Clymer, Hall, and Davis to do 2013 taxes because we had to ammend some of last years taxes. Before we had just used Turbo Tax, and it is safe to say that we will continue to use Turbo Tax.
As we were waiting for our appointment, we overheard a customer complaining that their tax assistant fell asleep during their appointment. Needless to say, after hearing this we were a little concerned about our own appointment. Our appointment went without issue, but I am not convinced she did anything that we could not do on our own. We were charged over $350 because it was two incomes and we are residents of two different states. She did not even ammend the previous years taxes!
We were told that we would receive our refund by 28FEB. It is 06MAR and we have not received it. When I called today to inquire about it, they did not know who I was. Finally after giving them my name 3 times and my SSN 2 times, they found a record of my visit and claimed that I never signed my paperwork. After assuring them I had signed the paperwork and I had copies of everything to prove it, they told me our state taxes were rejected and that was causing the delay.
If you have simple taxes, just do it yourself. If you have a more complicated issue, I would recommend a business with a little more professionalism and competence than Clymer, Hall, and Davis.

Clymber Hall and Davis-Fairbanks, I believe is reprehensible to say the least with an extreme lack of professional business ethic and poor customer service.
First, we scheduled an appointment to see one of their tax consultants, in which the consultant took it upon himself to begin performing our taxes and entering information without any disclaimer, or consultation on what his process was. This was not our first time dealing with an on site tax representative as we have needed professional help before with what we believed were complex taxes. We thought we would find this professional help with Clymer, Hall & Davis, but we were unfortunately very very wrong.
Our tax consultant at Clymer, stated that he had a fee, for FILLING our taxes of roughly $375 which was higher than previous year but we understood that it could likely be because we lived in Anchorage and things tend to be a little more expensive in Fairbanks. We were ok with this fee because we believed in return, we would be given professional help…again how wrong we were.
After the consultant completed entering our information, which took all but 20mins (very strange as we have been accustom to spending a little more time given our properties, deductions, etc.) and his response was that “Well…you owe money...plus my fee” ….confused we asked why that was…given our financial situation has not changed much between the previous year return and this…What affected the change?
Needless to say we didn't get any answers but the “professional” tax consultant was very persistent on filing the return (or lack there of) and collecting his fee…Don't worry here comes the best part…
We then submitted the same information to the previous years consultant via email, and they were able to give us a return amount, if not equal to but more than what we received last year…smh!?!?!?
My husband and I, arrived back at the company and met with the receptionist at the from desk, which she then stated that the gentlemen that we had been dealing with before was busy, and could not be disturbed…but there is a window to his office, with a clear view, he was neither on the phone nor with a client..but the receptionist (which I must put an emphasis on, was rude, unprofessional, and not willing to help nor customer oriented in any capacity) relayed to my husband and I, that she would not just disturb him for US…..
Ok...so we left without our personal information and it wasn't until about 25mins later that the same receptionist called to inform my husband that our paperwork was at the front counter, and that we could pick it up at any time. he replied with thank you and we would be by later to pick it up…THEN SURPRISINGLY, out of NOWHERE she states that Clymber Hall and Davis-Fairbanks would be billing us for $100.00 for doing our taxes!!!!
When the receptionist was asked why, this fee not told to us upfront, she gave a blanket statement that they usually tell everyone..”usually” huh?… My concern’s were that no one at that office, nor did our tax consultant EVER mention a FEE for consultation? Which makes you question does Clymber Hall and Davis-Fairbanks just try to randomly charge SOME customers, with making exceptions for others at their own discretion Seems LIKE a way for a business to mislead their customers into doing business with them, without providing a good faith estimate before hand…
THE BEST PART IS…when we go in to PAY our BILL and pick up our paperwork, in disgust…the same receptionist tells us that “They are going to waive this fee (That they NEVER tell you about) but they’re AlSO are going to request that my husband and I…do not comeback!” Why?Because we questioned why you DID NOT inform us about the MYSTERIOUS fee up front?
HA! LOL. Why would ANYBODY willfully want to be deceived? or dealt with in such an unprofessional manner…
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE Save yourself some time and hassle…find a reputable business to intrust your livelihood with…
what this company lacks in professionalism, they surely make up in HIDDEN FEES. GOOD LUCK!!!!

2016: Very efficient, but more important, the attention to detail was amazing and appreciated. David won't rest until the numbers are known and right.
Now it's 2017. Another year fast and accurate.
Helene Masour
fast , polite and efficient but how in the world 30 minutes of filing elementary taxes, based on previous year preparation, all on line, could cost $431?!!!!! is it a new normal? I am still in shock.
