Outstanding Member Support and Service! Diane (Group leader aka Branch Manager) and Emily were fantastic helping me with a complicated roll over. Diane went above and beyond by staying late to finish up the necessary paperwork to complete the detailed steps. Not only did they save me $ but they eliminated hours of frustration. This is not a review of the branch. It is a review of Canvas Credit Union's vehicle loan process. It's awful - worst I've ever encountered. I joined Canvas because I though it would help make the process go smoothly, and get me a good interest rate. Instead, the process was plagued by surprises, misinformation, non-information, and people who talked a lot while failing to tell me the things I really needed to know. Even with a pre-approval, I was unable to get financing done on the day of purchase. Instead, I ended up getting financed in minutes through the dealer with Westerra, and at a lower interest rate.

I will be closing my Canvas accounts and membership.

We took a car loan with Canvas, they never sent us a bill in the mail, or even notified of us as of our account number. After two months, we called to get all of the information and to find out why they haven’t sent us any paperwork. They didn’t notify us of anything other than we were two months behind on our payment. We paid both payments right away and then they sent a bad report to the credit agencies. Not a warning call or letter telling us the issue. I am very disappointed and now have a negative report on our credit score that they won’t help to correct it. We now need to dispute the negative report with all 3 credit agencies. Unless they are willing to help correct the problem, I will probably refinance the car with another company and close this account.

Anyone considering using this credit union please consider this review first. They are too small to link your account with other types of accounts like investment accounts etc. so I closed out my account because of this and moved to CapOne which has been a great move so far. I find out a year later that they didn’t close my account out and I had a charge go through on it (I formerly had it linked to my CapOne credit card and accidentally used it to make a payment instead of my CapOne checking), they charged me an overdraft fee, made little effort to notify me that this happened (waited over a month to send me something in the mail), then proceeded to send me to collections. They claim they don’t do this until 45 days has passed. I didn’t get correspondence from them until 40 days from this happening so I had virtually no time to get it handled before negatively effecting my credit. I’ve worked very hard over the last ten years to get my credit to an 803 score. So for them to just negligently treat a “member” like this is beyond frustrating. I called them to rectify the account, paid them immediately, and their response to me was that “it’s not their responsibility” to notify members when this happens. I closed it out a year ago! Why did you even let a charge go through when there is no money in there? Anyway I’m extremely frustrated by this and it will end up costing me more money than just the overdraft fee because I will now have to borrow money at higher rates. I hope this helps someone who is considering becoming a member.

I have been a member for over 40 years. In the last year I have to go in about every other month because my pin stop working and I have to figure out how to pay for gas or groceries some other way. This has happened bout 10 times. We changed pins maybe 3 times. Nothing helps. Extremely disappointed 😞

I don’t get the bad reviews on this branch, I’m in there every two weeks or so and they’re always great, friendly people and both our car loans through Canvas have been outstanding.

I opened a new account here on Friday. I was very impressed with the warm greeting, and not being told I had to make am appointment.
The lady who greeted me said a banker wasn't available right away, and I said I'd wait outside, the lady who greeted me took the time to come outside and tell me that a banker was available
Jaycob, was so friendly and personable; he answered all my questions thoroughly and helped me to understand if a credit union would be a good fit for me. He was very patient with all my questions. From all the great Customer Service and how helpful Jaycob was, my boyfriend decided to open an account as well and is leaving his credit union.
I don't know how to spell the Branch Managers name, but she is so friendly and makes you feel welcome.
I recommend coming here for your banking 100% and that is coming from someone who usually finds something wrong at every place I go to.

AVOID AT ALL COST doing business with this credit union - If I could give negative stars... terrible customer service, they are unresponsive to calls and voice mail. When I went into the local branch they couldn't help me. It took weeks for me to get an answer and the information I needed. I had an issue with a money order that didn't clear, they didn't bother following up with me at all - instead closed my account and sent me to collections. They aren't interested in having GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE.
