I dislike this Banking institution a lot. Had to jump through a ridiculous amount of hoops to get any type of loan. Im over 40 and I have a really good portfolio and credit score (higher than 700), they still requested I have a cosigner on a secured loan. A secured loan should not need a cosigner. This institution prefers to treat their members as irresponsible children, rather than a financial partner. This bank offers nothing that can't be found at a better rate at another bank, and you'll be treated better as well. They are not able to communicate clearly, and have a "not my problem" attitude. A credit union should be more than just a place to hold your money, but a place to build wealth and improve the surrounding community. I highly recommend finding another institution to do your banking with. I personally have closed my accounts and will not be doing any future business with this company.

It hasn't even been a year that I became a member with Canvas and I know I've come to the best there is! Besides having the best rates, every employee is kind, friendly and is a wealth of info! Only negative is the parking lot is kinda small. Keep up the great work!!

I refinanced my car with canvas. It was extremely easy and I walked in knowing nothing about refinancing or how the process worked. Each employee I encountered explained things so well I now explain it to coworkers and the likes. I appreciate I not only got what I needed done but I understand it to the fullest I can feel comfortable and refer other people 🙂

Watch out for these people! Having transferred money from another account to my checking account to cover a credit card payment, the payment was refused due to insufficient funds (NSF) by my credit Union ( Canvas ) which charged me $30.00. My credit card company (Apple) also charged me $40.00. This credit union has done this to me more than a dozen times in a two-year period, costing me a lot of money. Their customer service people are rude, do not provide help, and have threatened me on more than one occasion when I questioned them about charging me an NSF fee even though I have opted out of that service and requested that they just decline the payment. I'm still not sure that this is even legal (to not pay but still charge me an NSF). I have been with this credit union for more than 30 years, borrowed and paid back all of my loans. Since it became Canvas Credit Union, their policies have become more predatory to their members in terms of charges and customer service than at any time I have been with the bank. For most of my transactions on my account, I use my debit card, transferring funds as I use them from another account within this same bank. All the transactions are instantaneous, showing up in my pending charges against my balance. It appears random to me (i.e., bank holidays, weekends, and other times) that the way the bank posts my transactions benefits their charging me fees that should not have been charged, as I have already opted out, as I said earlier, and then they hired people in their customer service department who will quote "law" to me to argue that this is legal for the bank to do. I don't have the money to sue them for this, but I hope someone will at some point. In the meantime, do not bank at Canvas Credit Union in Fort Collins Colorado!

Very unprofessional. The branch changed layouts, and it makes banking extremely awkward and difficult. Now everybody in the store can hear anything you say. Which is an issue when you have to repeat your bank account number or birthday.
The employees are nice but don’t inspire any confidence in their abilities. The employees seem to be picked based on looks. Bankers should be smart, professional and competent. Not fit a certain look.

I have been a member with canvas for a long time and it gets worse every year.

Never get a vehicle loan from Canvas! These people do NOT care about the customer and are 100% fixed on the money, service be damned. Horrid customer service, horrid loan assistance, horrid corporate assistance... they do not even deserve one star. AVOID Canvas, there are way better options out there.
