This is a very large and modern hospital for military veterans

I went there for a review of my long-standing spinal cord injury. They had a friendly staff and I was given a modern, comfortable room.

Additionally, I felt I received a good review of my condition with numerous tests, etc. The diagnosis was that an operation was possible but that it had a small chance of making my condition better.

The hospital seems to have the most updated equipment and was a good place to visit. The doctors seemed knowledgeable and professional.

I think you may need a special referral to go there but I would not hesitate to recommend it to any veteran with a condition that they felt could be treated there.

Not sure if I already verbally threw up on this establishment yet, but just to be sure I'll add this. It's clearly evident that they spent all the money on the building and not the staff. 80 percent of them could care less about what they’re doing and the other 20 percent are volunteers. Most of the doctors or nurses I've interacted with seem like they got their degree out of a cereal box. If you want to be seen by one of these "professionals" you just have to call the one number and wait 30 minutes. After the first 30 minutes the call will drop, just call back wait another 30 min and repeat until some rude ass lady answers and makes you feel super unwelcome. Once your appointment is scheduled make sure to arrive 15 min early. Then you'll wait an extra 30 minutes after your scheduled visit because why not they actually scheduled you in so you'll be seen when it's convenient for them. And that's only if you were actually scheduled. It would seem that since the VA gives us veterans a paycheck every month, that should make up for providing us the worst medical service this country has to offer. Giving this place 1 star is one of the biggest over statement I've made on Google reviews.

The primary care here is trash. I wish so bad I could find a doctor here that actually gave a shit about their patients. Sad truth is they really don’t. They think you’re an idiot. They barely speak to you. You are usually bothering them. They don’t ask questions or try to dig into the root causes probably because they have primed themselves to believe they actually already know it all. They are a disgrace. Saw Dr. Chen today in building E floor 2 today. Someone for the love of god fire that sad excuse of a doctor. I pray nobody ever has to rely on her for their lives.

Call the VA has housed over 48000 homeless Veterans across the nation , Colorado still has over 1000 homeless Veterans. $3.2 billion dollars allocated to end Veterans homelessness, yet US Veterans need help now in Colorado Springs and Denver.

This hospital and it staff treat via the SOP they have and not the individual patients medical problems. I was thrown out of an airplane in jump school and had a horrific landing that broke my neck. I have a 7 level fusion (among other injuries) and suffer from severe chronic pain. They have put me on the absolute lowest dose of pain meds and have consistently lied and tried to gaslight me telling me my pain is in my head and not that bad when it has stopped me from sleeping and prevents me from doing almost everything I enjoy doing. They do not care about you. If you are able to get health care elsewhere I recommend you do.

Love the VA appreciate their knowledgeable, hardworking, and compassionate care! I don’t know where the bad reviews come from. They really try to work with you and will send out in town if the wait is too long. My medications are even delivered to my home!

After waiting nearly a year for an appointment, it was canceled because the technician called in. There was no further explanation. Then they rescheduled it another three months in the future. I asked to be considered for a cancellation so I could get this done. Finally, they called with a cancellation. I went to my appointment in Denver but live in Colorado Springs. I requested travel pay, which they denied because it shows my appointment did not happen. They always downplay everything, especially medical issues. I have had care here before but now it is a glaring example of inefficiency. The one good outcome was that they gave me a replacement CPAP while I was here because my other one was recalled. I have seen reviews that suggest that getting care here will cost you your life. I think I believe that. Especially if you have an urgent need for an appointment but they give you one a year out.

Just as a Lion "Commands Respect", it does not have to advertise, or by popular votes or certificates too fool the innocent other animals in the forest that its a Lion! By right the braying male mule in the forest can falsely claim, or complain putting forth argument, but no one pays attention anyways to a braying mule! It is known its own female counterpart often kicks the male mule in the face when braying..
Simular, The Rocky Mountain Regional VA Medical Facility and staff and all the workers are professional, devoted multifunctional, careing and often times go an extra mile to serve all of us veterans for our needs! Thus I use the anology that this Facility is like the Lion and I humbly request too all the readers who have a cool-head and sober mind-set and judge any tree by tasteing its fruit..Outwardly just viewing this VA facility, let alone stepping inside and tasting the diffrent delicious fruits in the form of Staff/Departments and employees from the pot washer all the way up too Administration; Well it just makes you want to take off your hat hold your heart and salute to them all and with a smile say God Bless America!
