Had a great stay at this hotel. It is in a fantastic location, close to the Mag Mile and downtown area but not directly in the main tourist areas. There is plenty things to do within a walkable area.

The staff was exceptional. They were very welcoming at the front desk and always willing to help or point us in the right direction.

The rooms were very nice as well. They were spacious, well decorated, and clean/updated. The only thing that would have improved this aspect would be to have a better window/more light into the room.

Would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting downtown Chicago!

The Talbott is in a great location with easy access and a great view of Willis Tower. The junior suite that I stayed in was well appointed with thoughtful attention to detail. The night stands included built-in USB-A and USB-C ports that supported fast charging, the rainfall shower had a temperature and flow control next to the entry as well as a hand shower, the Grown Alchemist hygiene products are amazing and the bed was as comfortable as would be expected. There were a few detractors, however. The lobby is currently being renovated, the elevators are somewhat suspect and the complimentary breakfast for Bonvoy Platinum members was limited, seemingly arbitrarily, to just two menu items. While the hotel staff was friendly and helpful, the restaurant staff could use a refresher on service. All in all, it is an easy recommendation if you want comfort but aren’t looking for full-service.

The Talbott is in a great location, has a lot of character, and provided a spacious, comfortable, and clean room. There was a fair bit of construction which limited a lot of the lobby's services and the elevator interiors are quite beat up, but the rooms were recently upgraded and felt quite fresh and new. Aside from the aesthetic element, which was easy to tune out, it was a very relaxing stay. My king room was large and comfortable, it was quiet and the depth of the room tuned out all the hallway noise typical of hotels. Like most hotels its age it had ample natural light, but the view was largely of a brick wall across a court yard, as is also standard on old buildings. The bathroom was recently renovated as well and very clean. The room service provided an excellent breakfast and would recommend it. The gym was not updated as recently, but has a peloton bike, it was quite private, although the water didn't work, so best to bring your own until that it repaired. I plan on staying here again, it's central and fairly safe, close to shops and walkable to a lot of attractions.

It's great to see this old hotel be revived by Marriott. Great location on the Gold Coast, really nice and helpful staff, and our king room was nicely appointed; including a Nespresso machine and fridge. ||There's a Starbucks across the street and a breakfast-all-day restaurant on the next block. Their own restaurant in-building looked good too.||They're still finishing the renovation on the lower floors and we are looking to coming back to see the new look/feel. ||

Positive: Location is great, they are very pet friendly and they provide 2 complimentary drinks per day along with a restaurant credit. They also graciously upgraded us to a renovated room when the TV did not work in our original room. Negative: The hotel is under extensive renovation/construction and the TV did not work in our room.

Beautiful hotel that was clean and well decorated. One of the most comfortable beds with plush pillows, slept like the dead! Great location and easy walk to several restaurants or a stroll down Magnificant Mile. Staff was friendly and helpful. Our coffee maker didn't work and within an hour they brought us a new one.

Easy location to walk to - starbucks , restaurants etc. |The staff here is accommodating and so friendly. Special shoutout to Amanda, Ben and Taylor for taking such great care of me this trip ! Definitely recommend to families and business professionals. The new RENO looks great!

The remodeled rooms are nice. The staff was great! Ben, Taylor, and Tabitha went above and beyond by offering me a later checkout that allowed me to more easily coordinate getting to and back from a funeral for a dear friend. I was so grateful for their flexibility.
