VMC is the management company for my condo's HOA. My experience is the "management" is completely incompetent. My experience based on the performance of his staff and the majority of the contractors he hires is that there is zero leadership, accountability, or oversight. The owner claims some sort of credibility for being an engineer however there is no record I can find other than his education that he has any engineering experience. It's kind of like an English Lit major claiming to be a published author or someone claiming to be a medical doctor because they were pre med in college. Hire VMC if you want your property to fall apart and you want special assessments out of nowhere for neglecting common maintenance items until they become a crises (unlivable/unsafe place, lawsuit, building code violation).

In the year 2000, we bought a top floor Snowfox Condo unit In Vail with mountain view. Based on information and recommendations available at that time, we decided to place it in Vail Management's rental pool. Over the last 17 years we were not disappointed. We have appreciated their marketing efforts (including custom video) and attention to detail that has been of great benefit from the standpoint of both revenue and ongoing maintenance. Their staff is extremely responsive and empathetic to both the needs of potential renters and owners alike.

We chose a unit approximately three days prior to our arrival. Though the unit was not great, it was very inexpensive for the area and we accepted the conditions due to price point. What was not acceptable was the dismissive tone of most everyone we interacted with. My first phone call to them was the night prior to our arrival when I had not received the address or arrival instructions. The gentleman on the other end of the phone said that they had been sent numerous times and that I probably just missed them. I searched in my inbox, junk folder and spam. They were never sent. The next interaction was when the cleaning team came for a mid-week clean. I asked only that the towels were replaced. The two ladies laid all of the dirty towels in the floor outside the bathroom and in front of the front door so that they could gather them and bundle them all together to remove. Once they were gone, we prepared to leave and noticed that one of my daughter's shoes were missing. The shoes were on the ground right where they were gathering the towels. When we called to ask that the cleaning crew look through their towels to return the shoe the individual (a man again) on the other end said that this happens all of the time and the renters always find their misplaced item in the condo. It took us another call to speak with a someone named Able, that was very empathetic to the situation, yet we still had no resolve even after we returned home. The last item was when I used their app to report that a light was no longer working over the stairs in the unit. The maintenance manager responded to the email with "sounds like an HOA issue ...". This company lacks customer service and has no attention to detail. Beware if you use this company. When we go back we will pay for a better unit with another property management company. We will never use Vail Management again.
