Horrible company !!!! Here is my story. I was driving my vehicle and someone ran a rid light and hit my car. The driver is covered through kemper auto insurance. I filed a claim with Kemper and they are not taking responsibility despite the fact that i have a video recording and 2 witness that their insurer is at fault. They are not returning my phone calls or replaying to my emails. It’s been 3 months since my car was hit. I filled a complain with departments of insurance still waiting for their response. Filed a claim with better business bureau and they replied that they will contact me- still didn’t happen. Not sure how this company is still operating in the USA. Any lawyers or authorities that would like to investigate this please do and I can provide any needed evidence. We need a class A lawsuit . For now I am taking them to small claim court !!! Please don’t buy their insurance !!!!!

If I could leave less than a 1 star I would.

I’ve been with Kemper for 6-7 years, payments weren’t too bad at first then the prices got jacked up. I was involved in a non fault accident. It took them a week and a half to send an inspector to look at it, another week to make their adjustments and produce an estimate which they chose to use non oem, and used parts on a brand new car since my policy allowed it which I was unaware of. Also the car was pretty fairly damaged, broken subframe 2 rims were bent and 2 tires popped among other things. I noticed that they took off an alignment from the estimate that was suggested by the inspector. I tried contacting the adjuster who took it off. After two attempts I didn’t hear anything so I contacted them again. The person I spoke with told me that they received both voicemails (apparently they have to make note of it) and that they didn’t know why I wasn’t receiving a call back. I was informed that they would pay for the alignment but pictures of the vehicle on an alignment rack and the diagnostics were required before they would pay for it. I’ve owned it for a little over 7 months. A week later I was made aware that they didn’t send the check to the repair facility. I contacted them and they said they would send it out right away they were just waiting for it to be finalized but I was assured it’d be sent out that day or the next morning, another week goes by and I get a call from the repair shop saying the vehicle is done but they still haven’t received the check from the insurance company. After calling and leaving a few voicemails I finally get a call back and find out that they still didn’t send the check out to the repair shop and that another ā€œissueā€ on why it wasn’t their fault came up and that’s why they didn’t send it off. But now everything is fine and it’s going to be sent out right away… it’s been over a month since this accident and they’ve made it a nightmare. There was a lot of other little things that came up throughout this month that really pushed me the wrong way. The communication on their part is terrible, I asked them for the estimate and they said they would send it. I never received it from them and had to have the repair shop send it to me. Initially they told the repair shop that they had to use non oem and used parts without even telling me that they planned to do that. Sure maybe that was a little bit my fault for not completely reading every bit of the policy. But the lack of them communicating their intentions is what made me more upset then what was going on. I feel if you weren’t mechanically inclined and knew what to look for in the estimate or had a repair shop that valued you enough to tell you. You would never know that they were pulling off what they do. Apparently if you decide not to take your vehicle to one of their ā€œin networkā€ repair shops you are liable to pay 20% of the total cost of the labor and parts to fix your vehicle. I’m sure they do this so they can get away with stuff that a typical repair shop wouldn’t allow. Was suppose to pick up my vehicle today. I was told they made the check out to the wrong business and I will have to wait 3 additional business days for them to cancel the check and reissue one. Honestly this insurance company is the worst. I don’t know how you manage to mess up as bad as they do.

Stay safe out there people. Pay a little more a month for better insurance companies if that’s the case. You’ll most likely get your vehicle back quicker, it’ll be done right, and you’ll save yourself a huge headache.

This insurance is a scam. They always pull some B's to get more money out of you. I payed my renewal fee and two weeks later they try to say I canceled my policy, and now they need $163 to continue my policy. Don't waist your money on this company.

WORST experience with any insurance company ever!!! Their employees don’t answer their phone at all and when I made a claim on my car that got broken which I pay FULL coverage for, they say it’s not in their policy to cover anything INCLUDING damages to the inside of my car. BIGGEST FRAUD BUSINESS EVER

Was with this company keeper for 4 years. When infinity came in the picture is when they started to raise my payments . Not just raise them but it was. 200% increase and they send me new policy and a new amount I owe every 6 months!! This last time they wanted me to pay THREE separate bills in 1 month with NO explanation as to what it was for. Also made 1 claim in the entire 4 years for something that was absolutely NOT my fault and they should have called the other insurance company and investigated but THEY DID NOT WANT TO SPEND ANYMORE TIME IN IT. So they sent me a letter saying I was at fault and closed the case. I’ve tried to contact them several times in last couple of months with them saying they have already received my request and won’t allow me to go any further. I believe this merged company with Kemowr has ruined the rep of this company now. I am starting a new insurance company. I felt compelled to send my review after noticing allll the terrible reviews they had already. I had no ideas they were robbing me every month!

Unprofessional is the easiest way I can describe them. My adjuster, Sergio, never calls back. I get directed to Anthony Fletcher who's emails mainly consist of "what's your claim number?" It's been emailed to you 3 times moron. Then calls me and gives me attitude. All that and after three months he tells me they won't fix my car. Okay should have just told me that 2 months ago! I could have just paid to have it fixed myself. I was as patient and kind as I could be to them and yet got that treatment. Truly unprofessional.

!WARNING! DO NOT DO BUSINESS with KEMPER AUTOMOTIVE!!!

I just want you to know that this will be the message I share everywhere I can after my experience with your insurance company.

Please take the time to find a different insurance company. Kemper earlier this year raised my rates 97% in one month with no justification or explanation. I haven't even had a parking ticket in years. When I contacted customer service they were rude, dismissive and patronizing. When I asked for a explanation as to why my rates were being raised by $130 a month, their representative basically said "because we can and if you don't like you can go pound sand."

This is a terrible, evil, greedy, malicious insurance company! They do not care for or take care of their customers! Take your business elsewhere! They are NOT a reliable company that will honor their responsibilities!

*You are a terrible company with no morality and even worse customer service. Tell your CEO and your board to go to hell. Whatever their being paid is too much!

I've been in contact with the Insurance Commissioner's Office and they have expressed interest in opening and investigation into your company. I intend to fallow through on filing my complaint with the state. I hope you end up in jail.
