Christanie deserves a raise!!! I came to fidelity this afternoon feeling so overwhelmed with managing my accounts. She broke everything down for me step by step and I left feeling confident about my finances!

If I could, I would give this place -100. It was the worst experience I've ever had, so I'm compelled to write this review in the hopes that someone will read it before going here and change their mind.

I had a 1-1 appointment with a financial advisor (Courtney John) in the late afternoon. I showed up for my appointment 5 minutes before my appointment to check in. Right after I checked in, the front desk lady informed me that my advisor had been notified and that she'd be with me shortly. It was an hour long appointment, and I was waiting for the first half an hour with no updates on how much longer I had to wait. I got frustrated and left the place. Now you'd expect that they'd at least give you a courtesy call and follow up, but I got no follow-up call, and no apology for wasting my time and for their poor management.

I don't think I can trust this place or their advisors with my money or any financial advice if they can't respect my time, and worse, even acknowledge their mistake. This place is horrible. Don't waste your time and energy here.

It was a lousy experience trying to open an account. Account opening team completely unaware of how to properly open a trust account, pending days, asking each other, giving wrong information. Finally cancelled the order and moved it to another company. Very bad experience

Wow, had another terrible experience with Fidelity, this time in person. Was told over the phone on Saturday that I could get a cashier’s check for slightly less than $5000 just about anywhere (other banks, the post office, etc.), I was trying to buy a car, and then proceeded to two different banks and got denied both times. Called Fidelity back and then was told “the limit is $2500.” Unfortunately the only two open banks on Saturday couldn’t run another attempt on my card again for 24 hours. I was out of luck. Went in today to get cash out, but what do you know, Fidelity does neither cash nor cashier’s checks! How convenient. And when I asked in person what the ATM withdrawal limit was, the attendant pounded away on his keyboard for several minutes without a word to me—how long can checking that possibly take? So I ended up leaving. No word, no apology. Thank you for being supremely and immensely unhelpful or accommodating or even sympathetic. Guess they don’t serve my kind there. White female with less than $10k in my account. You just lost a customer and however many other people I can deter from using you.

Although most staff at the Palo Alto Branch are friendly with the exception of one or two, their knowledge of what forms and documentation is required was severely lacking. Rather than consulting with the Transition Team right away, some of the staff tried to tell us what they thought was required only to have multiple communications about additional forms and documents. We initiated an action over 3 years ago and as of June 2022, it is still not resolved. We tried to get responses but each time a different staff member tried to start from the beginning. If we had to work with another financial services company again, we probably wouldn't pick Fidelity. If the staff are willing to talk with us and make things right, we would be willing to change this rating but the company really needs to improve their customer service and representative competence and knowledge.
