The agents at this branch have zero respect for your time. I made an appointment a week earlier and on the day of the appointment, I went in even earlier than my appointment time and checked in. I was told to use my account to submit an application to open an account. I did that and then waited and waited, no one cared. I asked around and the attitude was like we are busy and short staffed, just wait! After more than 40 minutes of waiting, I left. I emailed them to withdraw my request for opening an account, and after weeks of waiting, I have not heard back yet, so I'm thinking it is not just this branch, it is the entire credit union! I'm a USC alumni and sorry to see USC's name on this credit union. I do not recommend this place to anyone, unless you have nothing else to do but wait!

I withdrew my last 2 loan applications with usc credit union. Holiday loan and car loan refi. They have become the absolute worst at taking care of their long time, faithful and on time paying customers. 20+ years with your bank and I have always payed on time and never, ever been late with usc or any other creditors for that matter. Usc has been the worst for processing loans or protecting our privacy for the last 2 years. Maybe under new management? I don’t know. But that’s why I will be taking my business elsewhere for my future finances. I’m sure your team can care less about my small, insignificant loans but it is what it is. Thank you for your time and for wasting my time.

The staff here is so great. Kaylah was so incredibly helpful, i came in with an issue just before they were due to close, which was obnoxious on my part, but she was a champion; helped me out and got the issue resolved really cleanly.

Similar to other recent reviews, I have had a difficult time getting anyone to remotely respond to my requests. This is a review of the Credit Union and not necessarily this branch. I have called several times with representatives admittedly sharing that they have no answer with promises calls back that never come. They have discouraged me from going into the bank to speak with a branch manager and share that they have no authority to address my issue. They do not operate like a professional bank - seriously. I disputed a charge with very clear documentation that support the dispute and it has taken 6 weeks (and counting) to resolve. Communication from them lists inaccurate dates. When requesting an amended form with correct information (such as the very basic 'date of claim' which was incorrect), I am ignored. I have requested a corporate number, a compliance office or overseeing division and my requests are blatantly ignored. Indeed, the hours are challenging though most frustrating is the lack of customer care. It was convenient as a graduate student though I am considering closing this account once my dispute is resolved. However the decision lands, I plan to escalate my concerns to a body outside this banking system.

I bank through a separate credit union in Oregon but USCCU allows cash deposits as a sister branch. Went in today to deposit $450 from my cash tips and the ATM fully took my cash and never deposited into my account. The representative simply said there’s nothing they can or will do for me. A different employee admitted that this happens often, the AMT both eating cash AND cards.

I have banked with the USC Credit Union for years, and I have always been happy with the service that I have received. Recently, I needed to secure a car loan in a very short amount of time, and Angelina Ybarra (Member Relationship Specialist II) went above and beyond to make this happen for me. She was professional, knowledgeable, efficient, and kind. She answered my every email and call and even worked after hours to make sure that I was all squared away. I felt valued, heard, and supported. The USC Credit Union has my loyalty!

USCCU has finally broken the straw that’s made me realize I need to close my account for good.

I disputed a transaction with a retailer (an airline) that admitted they did not render a service to me. Despite photo and email proof where the retailer’s customer service agent clearly stated the service was not rendered, USCCU refused to allow a chargeback.

I have accounts with Chase and Bank of America, two big banks people always say are terrible. But I’ve only had stellar customer service from either. This would’ve been a slam dunk, no doubt case for either of them.

Meanwhile, USCCU has been a broken, sinking ship for years and I stayed on due to some strange loyalty being an alumnus, but it is only a credit union in name. I even tried to get a quote for them on a car I purchased last year… BOA beat them! Their software is outdated, their app useless, their customer service agents only available 9-5 M-F (you are SOL if you have any problems outside of this window).

Seriously guys, you’ve been warned.

I have been a member of USC Credit Union since 2012. Since that time, I have had nothing but positive experiences with the employees. The process for basically any transaction I have conducted has been very convenient for me. I appreciate that I am able to perform any transactions either on-line or at a shared credit union. The employees I have done business with at USC Credit Union have been very professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and friendly. One in particular, Eric Baja, has been very helpful during a loan process. I would like to extend my sincere appreciation for all he has done to make this an enjoyable and easy experience for us. I look forward to maintaining my relationship with the Credit Union.
