ZERO STARS
Twenty years ago I never would have had to write this review. This institution is not what it once was. Not only are they lacking in competence, but professionalism, and tact as well.

I met with Safire Rojo. to bring attention to my ongoing issue with mobile banking, AGAIN. I have not been able to make deposits to my account for over 3 months. The rep was mostly cordial, but not friendly. She proceeded to tell me that my ticket had been closed after I didn't respond soon enough from their last attempt to communicate with me, which was on January 26th. This conversation with Safire took place on Thursday 2.06.25, only ten days later! I was following up. I had been to the branch on multiple occasions. I wanted a manager to see what was happening on my phone. I expressed some changes that had taken place with my account at the very first visit and that there seemed to be a correlation in my opinion. I brought it up again with the manager. Somehow my concerns were not recorded in my file and months later here we are. I had also been in touch via email, and when I did follow up via phone, it was a game of phone tag, which got me nowhere, for THREE MONTHS!

And how do I know this? Because, after leaving the branch in a fury after having met with Safire, I spoke to Amanda H. and brought these concerns up, again. She admitted that was the first she had heard of those concerns. I was vocally upset and said, you should've already been aware of all of this, why wasn't it recorded in my notes? That is complete incompetence. Every single person whom I have encountered thus far is part of the problem. All information should have been recorded in my notes for others to look back on to see what conversations have taken place. It's not that hard.

I stated my annoyance with the phone tag and how the circle would start all over again. I told them from the start there needed to be a direct number for me to call and that I should be dealing with ONE SINGLE INDIVIDUAL. I was being patient and nice about this until my last visit with Safire. Now I am pissed off and have run out of patience. I am working with someone named Amanda Hamilton directly from payment services. I immediately phoned Amanda after leaving my appointment with Safire. Amanda said that Safire was wrong, that my ticket was not closed, and that she should not have said that to me. So not sure why Safire thought it was a good idea to be snarky and proceed to blame the bank's incompetence on me.

Less than a week later, today, Amanda Hamilton resolved the issue with me over the phone. This entire time they had been saying my issue had to do with a third party and they had no control over getting this resolved. So after three months of no progress and then being BLAMED for the bank's incompetence and lack of resolving this issue, the reason was within their control this entire time. If the person whom I had met with from day one, on that early day in November, when I told them that I thought the issue could have something to do with when I opened an account for one of my daughters. Had they listened and looked at all possibilities before trying to pass the buck onto this unnamed third party, my issue could've been resolved that very day.

And Frankly, it's irrelevant if the third party played a part in all of this (which it didn't). It is the bank's responsibility to advocate for their members and to get conflicts resolved in a timely professional manner. This experience caused a great deal of frustration, inconvenience, and now a lack of trust. Do better VCCU! I appreciate Amanda Hamilton, and feel bad that she got the brunt of my bad attitude - but this experience was downright unacceptable. Nothing got resolved until I became upset. It shouldn't have come to that. I will be looking for a credit union that works for its client partners instead of against them. When I leave you'll lose a total of THREE clients for this debacle. Seems to be a trend in these reviews.

I’ve been an ember here my entire life, the service is minimal and if you have an issue you will be on hold with a robot. I almost feel bad writing this review but this in the past year this bank has caused me so many headaches that I’m writing this review. Nothing will change and I’ll just find some one new to bank with

I’ve been a member of VCCU for over 30 years and have witnessed the decline in their customer service this past year. I recently lost my CC and have been trying to get a hold of member services to order another one. It’s been three days, three calls, and four emails, still no response. I did get a call back five hours later that I missed so I will give them credit for that. I wish that they would support their employees in efforts to restore the excellence in customer care that I referred my friends to them for. Maybe hire more people? Do better VCCU!

This bank, Ventura credit union, has disappointed us on so many levels. They neglected to send us any information that apparently our HELOC had expired, I have had difficulty creating easy transfers from one bank to another with them, and had very slow response times back on inquiries and unprofessional behavior from interactions with the lending group. I would avoid this bank if you can and there are plenty of other credit unions and Ventura now.

Made appointment with Manager @14:30, checked in at 14:20. Employee announced to me that she would be just a few more minutes at 14:35.

Manager coms out 14: 25 and announced to me she would be a few minutes, then took another person sitting and waiting too. After a half hour sitting I got up and she ask another employee to inform me that she will be just few more minutes. So 15:15, she finally came to me for service. OMG!!!!!!

God awful doesn’t even begin to describe this establishment. I have been a member for almost 2 months and have yet to obtain a physical debit card. I can’t imagine trusting them with an actual issue. Please take your money and run, please!

They never have enough tellers I’ll be standing in line for almost an hour. 2 tellers will be working and the other two say their stationed is closed. I work 8-5 so I can only come on my lunch break which is an hour long and I’m always late going back. My work is only 5 minutes away. It’s so ridiculous. They need to hire more help. Sitting in member services with 6 people waiting and only two tellers. I’ll be here for awhile.
