The reviews about Hrant’s practices are true and I am not a secretary. We had been coming to Hrant for a few years (about 4-5years) and everything was good. He is a nice guy. BUT…something happened to him in 2022-2023. What? Who knows? Only he knows. Things happen in people’s lives. Illness, divorce, family issues, depression etc. Had he only been honest and said “I’m sorry, I dropped the ball, I’m going through some stuff, I will correct what’s wrong and get to the bottom of your concerns which you have so generously paid me for”. BUT…no…that is not how he responded.
Our taxes took almost 2 years to be processed (1 and a few months giving Hrant the benefit of doubt and about 6 mos to actually get it done myself and waiting for the IRS to process). My daughter just literally received her IRS refund from (2021 tax year)2 weeks ago it took hers 2 years. After calling Hrant many times and being patient, I decided to go to the IRS myself. Hrant would always say “ I don’t see why the IRS system tells you there is no record, I have confirmation on my side, let me call my person there and find out”. I would never get any call backs ever. Then he started to not take my calls or return my emails. His secretaries covered for him…he wasn’t there, he was on the phone, he was with a client. I actually began to feel bad for his secretaries because they had to lie for him and I can tell by the sound of their voice and the blank answers they responded. One day, (before I went to the IRS myself) I just decided to show up unannounced with my daughter. He was there, his door slightly ajar. I saw him, he saw me….I waited. Told him I still haven’t heard or received anything what is going on, where are our refunds? My daughter, her boyfriend, the boyfriends mom and boyfriends brother had all gone to him with our referral and we all had the same issue.
He went on his computer, he sang the same song…”it shows confirmation on my end” but no follow up as to him calling the IRS to check.
When my daughter and I went to the IRS they told us that both our taxes had not been filed. I even asked Hrant to file an extension for the 2022 year taxes at that time and the IRS didn’t have that either and Hrant had confirmed to me that he had filed it as well. So after finding this out from the IRS, we exclusively dealt with the IRS from that point. We all had to provide them with paper copies, which they stamped and submitted. I showed them who our tax preparer was and showed the IRS agent all the online reviews of all the same complaints. They suggested we file a complaint with the IRS. They gave me the form. At that time, I was more concerned with getting all our filings taken care of. I did not file the complaint, but I can still do it. However, here online, it would get more information and experiences out to those that seek good services that are paid for. We all finally, got our tax filings done and refunds received. I have since found an outstanding CPA who has been very helpful and has corrected some issues. An honest person, is always the best kind of person to work with. When that person chooses otherwise, or does not take accountability for their mistakes then it’s time you know that you have to move on. Good luck to all.

I would never use this place again ! My husband and myself have used Hrant Bedikian in the past with no problem however, this year has been a nightmare! I paid to have my taxes to be filed March 2023. I never received my refund . I have called every day for the last 3 months. I have been given appointments’ to have Hrant call which he NEVER keeps. I have been blocked now when I call. I have to try to get a hold of IRS now to see if he even submitted my taxes . This is clearly the worst experience with a taxman, I would suggest using someone professional.

Unfortunately, I did have the same problem with Hrant! I had to call him at least 3 times and never called me back. When he finally showed up was reassuring me that everything was fine, and submitted my taxes. My wife’s taxes still pending according to him… stay away from this place

SAME PROBLEM like everyone else. Unbelievable! Stay away from this business. We haven’t received our taxes in 2 years and now found out he never filed after saying he did. We have a property and got a notice that we are getting penalized. I really trusted him but I was wrong. Now I need to call the board of accounting to complain and try to fix this myself since he is ignoring me now.

They never filed my taxes and now I have a lien on my assets. Had my family go through them as well, and had the same issue. Never recieved our refunds. When we contacted IRS they said they never filed them. When we call Hrant he just gives us the run around.

Stay away from this fraudulent place.
