Wow!!! What can we say!? Booked here for our 1 year wedding anniversary. We ordered the wine and dine experience. Wife had Scallops as starter and I had Sticky Chicken. Both had ribeye steaks. I never order ribeye, but my god it was exceptional. Creme brule pudding. 10/10. Food was exceptional. Service out this world. We felt like royalty. Thankyou so much. Will 100% return.

Went to the Lyttelton for our 1 year 7 month anniversary and had a lovely time. The fillet steak along with the thick chunky chips were delicious, and it was topped off with
sensational beef dripping sauce. The only negative which sadly brings my 5* rating down to a 4* is that the onion loaf is no longer a part of the meal. This was one of my favourite parts of my steak dinner and unfortunately, the shallots do not hit the spot the same way.

We finished off with sticky toffee pudding and the trio of mini desserts which also were very tasty.

Thankyou for the hospitality.

PS Please bring back the onion loaf.

Had Sunday lunch, 5 people. I chose the trio of roasts sharer with my son. Plenty of food for two, and was cooked perfectly. Sat in the dining area which was very comfortable. We were served by the friendly Laura, was most helpful with the choice of desserts for the rest of the family. Vid of the chocolate bomb pudding, my son was most impressed ?

I recently dined at Lyttleton with a good friend, opting for the £100 wine and dine menu. Overall, we were pleased with the food and the service, but one aspect of our experience left us rather disappointed.

As we were finishing, we decided to change our dessert to cocktail with an Aperol Spritz and requested that the soda be swapped for lemonade. To our surprise, when the drinks were brought over, the waitress—who was otherwise very attentive—reluctantly informed us that the manager had decided to charge an additional £3.60 for what amounted to a small dash of lemonade.

While we fully appreciate that premium ingredients and special requests can come with extra costs, charging £3.60 for a simple substitution felt excessive, especially given the already substantial price of the meal. It left us with the impression that the restaurant was more focused on profit than on providing a seamless dining experience.

That said, the food was excellent and the service was attentive. However, the unexpected and unreasonable surcharge for a minor drink modification cast a shadow over an otherwise enjoyable evening. We hope that management will reconsider such charges in the future, as it detracted from an otherwise lovely dining experience.

The ambience is very warm and inviting and a lovely atmosphere. The food and drinks were ordered easily and promptly for a party of 3. The reason why it wasn't 5 stars, our food order took absolutely ages to reach the table I didn't realise it had been over an hour. We prompted our new server Kelsey, who was friendly immediately checked and came back with our food. The service immediately improved and no fault to be found for deserts etc. I would recommend it to others for the nice atmosphere.

Convenient halfway point for family get-together. Food was fine, but at lunchtime it would have been good for some lighter options on the menu for those who might not want a full dining experience. Unusually the dining room was cold.

We are here as a group of 13 including 2 children. Booking process was very easy online and we had a small private room which was perfect for our group. Whole pub was decorated beautifully for Christmas. Service was attentive and everyone enjoyed the food and drinks. Kids menu had good variety and there was clear allergy info. Overall was very impressed.
